• there was nothing to say.
there was nothing in her mind that can make what just happen go away. she knew the way she reacted was foolish and uncalled for, but something in her snapped.
when he said goodbye for the last time, right before walking onto the bus, she couldn't controll herself. and with one swift motion, without thinking at all, the palm of her hand met with the side of his cheek making that echoing sound.
    SMACK!
and when he came to his senses, relizing what she just did, he starred at her. his mouth was closed, his eyes where wide, crying without any tears. she was covering her mouth with the incriminating hand.
she didn't have to say anything to him at all.
he nodded, turning away. " if that's how you want this to end..." he started, sighing. she crossed her arms against her chest, taking deep breathes. she could see the red mark she left from where she was standing. " i didn't want it to end at all." she said coldly. her eyes never left him as he stepped into the bus and into a window seat in the 3rd row. he didn't look at her through the window, not while she could still see him.
she began to walk back to her car, her hands to her side. once she was in, she slammed the door closed and jammed the key into the ignition, but didn't turn it. her phone had rang, causing her to jump a little. and when she opened it up, it was him calling. she pressed the "talk" button and put her ear to the phone.
"it doesn't have to end this way you know. there's still a chance that we-" she closed the phone, hanging it up. she knew he wouldn't call again. he got the picture through his head.
and she sat ther, needs to her face, rocking back and forth in her cramped ford focus, wishing it was yesterday again.
"it didn't have to end this way..." she said with tears streaming down her face and onto the sleeve of her shirt."
    "you could of stayed."
