• Two Souls One Body?

Keith sprinted into the forest, running away from the voice. “Don’t run Keith.” A strange scratchy voice seemed to follow him. He zigzagged through the trees, but the voice kept finding him.
Keith was a seventeen year old boy, he was six foot two inches tall, and he was a bit plump. Reddish-brown hair came down to Keith’s shoulders. He was a brute. He was a smart kid too. 200 pounds was his limit in lifting.
Just when Keith thought he was free, an iron hard fist came out of nowhere, and clothes lined him.

Keith awoke later, and found himself being dragged. He let himself stay limp, where from his limited view, still found himself in the forest. The landscape was steadily changing though. The ground transformed from gently blown grass, to shifting sands. The temperature got distinctly warmer, and drier. The trees disappeared and turned into cactuses
The assailant trudged on, despite the change, just as strong. About thirty minutes later, long after Keith’s throat was dry, they reached a place of cool, humid air. The assailant came to a river, drank some of the water, and then forced Keith to drink some. When that happened finally got his first glance at his attacker, through slitted eyes. It was a girl. The girl was at least in her forty’s. She had bleached blonde hair, and green eyes. She was about five foot or so.
Keith pretended to wake up at that moment, but the female didn’t do anything.
She just kept pulling him along. Fifteen minutes later, they reached something.
Keith wasn’t sure what it was, but what ever it was it made it his hair stand on end. A strange power filled the air.
Just then the girl, dropped Keith, leapt into the air, and disappeared. Keith turned around and saw a portal. Where could this lead to? Keith thought. Keith hesitated. Should I go through and see what’s on the other side? Or should I go back and pretend this never happened? Keith started to push his hand through the portal, but as soon as his hand was about to touch the magic door, he retreated and started to step back from it.
Just when he was about to break out into a sprint for home, a gloved hand pulled Keith through the portal. Just as he touched the magic film, that was protecting the portal from attacks; he slammed into it, as if hitting a brick wall.
His body plummeted to the ground, his soul was torn from his body. His body stayed on that side, meanwhile his soul was pulled through the portal. There were colors around the “tunnel” of the vortex.
When he felt as if his soul was going to be torn to shreds, the vortex ended and he saw trees again. Trees, log huts, deer, and military academies dotted the field.
Then he felt his soul veer directions suddenly, downward…

Giam was practicing his archery skills, under the command of his teacher and with his fellow pupils. “Aim… Fire!” shouted the tutor. Giam took aim and fired. “Again!” He did the drill again… or at least almost completed it. A strange force entered his body. He keeled over, hand clutching his heart, grasping for breath. He fell to his side and put his other hand on his head.
He coughed, then puked up blood.
“Get this boy some help! Now!” The teacher shouted.
The teacher stood over her star pupil, who was struggling for dominance over the force. “What’s going on?” She frantically yelled.
Giam rolled over and stared into her eyes. “Wa…wa…ter… pl…eas…e” He said weakly, as his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and fell unconscious.

“Giam! Giam! Are you alright? Wiggle your toes if you can hear me.” Giam heard the faint voice, but wiggled his toes. But, it wasn’t he who wiggled his toes. The strange force was still in his body, and he felt as if that force wiggled his toes.
Then he got up and walked around as if nothing had happened. I’m not doing this thought Giam. Everyone around him gasped at the sight of the young student getting up and walking around, despite the burn in his throat from the blood, and the sore chest from the shortage of air before he blacked out.
“One thing…” said Giam, but yet not him saying it, “I’m Keith, not this Jaim or Yaim or whatever you were calling me.” Then, Keith got a good look at his surroundings, the new faces, the new buildings, the new… everything.
Then, deep inside the body’s subconscious, the confused Giam thought of something, if this Keith was in his body maybe he could communicate with him too. Keith, Keith, can you hear me? Giam thought to himself hoping that the intruder could hear him too.
What the heck was that? Oh well, yeah I can hear you thought Keith, who thought he was talking through telekinesis or some other weird thing.
Good. Now tell me… how did you get here and why invade my body.
Keith wasn’t really sure how to answer that. After all that had happened today he wasn’t sure if he believed it himself.
I… I don’t know… I honestly don’t know… Keith explained, growing a little stronger in the body. Giam felt the lose of control of his body. What would happen if he was overpowered? Would his soul be thrust into the fiery pits of Oblivion and his body burn an eternal, agonizing flame? Would his soul go dormant until the other spirit grew weaker? He didn’t want to think about that right now.
Please… Giam pleaded either get out of my body or let up on your control on my body.
How would I let up on my control, I don’t even know my own strength!
Fine… Giam was far from defeat. Then he remembered his dagger that he in his belt. Using the little control over the body, he reached down and unsheathed the miniature blade.
Giam was a master at the art of stealth, and little movement as possible. This mastery paid off right here. Giam stabbed himself in the stomach, but he didn’t feel anything… Keith took all of the pain. The body curled up and both of the souls were cut off from the body, not able to take control.
