• The village of Junith. Thats where she grew up. The village of the benders, thats what they call it. It is the village that all the element benders come from. And it was there that Kiara Rose grew up. She was a very unique girl. In the village of the benders the elements were sexist. The element only went after the males. Kiara on the other hand was born with them. Her family could not tell anyone, ever. So for the fifteen long years of her life, she was a male. Through, to the day that she left. But there was only one problem, The King. King KeathBuren of Beret. Beret was a beautiful country, but it was rules by a king that didn't deserve to live, King Keath Buren. Now this may have been a bad king, but him, himself. He looked like heaven on earth. Golden brown hair, and the most deepest, darkest green eyes you have ever seen. He was a tall man, and everyone says he is so tall because everyone has tryed to pull him apart at some time. Well anyway, the one day he went strolling though the towns and villages, he came across the town of Junith. It was there that he saw Kiara and he saw right though her, but never told. Ever since that day, Kiara wanted to run. But she had to finish her training.

Kiara came busting though her frount doors of her home so hard you would think there was a bomb going off. She ran around the house in search. In search of her grandfather.

"Grandfather Josph! Where are you?!" Kiara yelled as she ran all though her house, but had no luck. Kiara was 14 but she was turning 15 in two weeks. She was a meddium hight girl with long brown hair. But thay wasy she had it pulled back you could swar she had the cut of a male. Everyone in the village knew her as Jeramy. Only because there was never aloud to be female benders. Kiara was a fire bender.

"Out here child!" She could hear her grandfather yell. He was sitting outside beside the barn watching a couple chickens fight for the grian he though them. Kiara came running outside and sat beside her grandfather. "Grandfather, in two weeks I will be fifteen. I have to leave, before Keath trys anything." She told him as she grabbed some grain from her grandfather's hand. As she throwed it out to the chickens her grandfather chuckled to himself. "I know child. That is why i have a gift for you. Call it an early birthday present." He said smiling as he took Kiara's hand and took her into the barn. Kirar smiled as he took her into the barn."Close your eyes Jearamy." He said. Kiara closed he eyes and leaned agenst a wooden crate so she would not lose her balence. Her grandfather came out from behind one of the stalls, they kept there horses in, with a middium sized box. "Open your eyes!" He said smiling. Kiara opened and looked down at the box. It was not a special box with colors or stars, just a plain brown packaged box. But she took it anyway. "Thanks grandfather." She said while looking at it and studying it until finally she opened the lid. 'An egg?" She said looking up at him in confution. "Not just an egg," He replyed. "your companion." He said as he smiled at Kiara and took the egg out of the box and put it on the gound. "In a matter of hours the egg will hatch" Was all her grandfather would say before he left Kiara and her new friend alone.

"Is there anything new you can tell me?" Keath yelled out into his hall of gairds as he entered the room. "Is there any good news?" He asked again as he walked up the couple steps to his thrown. His castle was like most, big, stone. and flags hanging everywhere they could. But his thrown room was not like mst. It was dark looking. Even when when you hand many candles lining the walls. His thrown was a deep blood red, with a black trim. "Well my lord there is some good news. That girl will be old enough to wed in two weeks." advised Raven. The kings chief advisor. Like the castle, Raven was a dark man. Some say he wa the one that crupted the king. "Thank you Raven. At least you have something for me to get though the week." Raven bowed his head and smiled a devilish smile. "Anything for you Sir." Was all he said and walked out of the hall.

A couple hours had past since her grandfather left her in the barn with the egg. Kiara was still sitting in there waiting for this egg to hatch. She got tired of waiting, so she got up and walked over to her horses. She picked out one. It was a beautiful white and black hourse. "Hello Sugar." The horse looked at her and neayed. Kiara petted her for about tem minutes before she hurd a loud crack. "What was that?!" She walked around and over to the egg. It now had a big crack going from one end to the other. Kiara bent down just as her grandfather came in though the barn doors. "Good, just on time." Was all he said. 'Kiara watched him walk over at sit on a crate to watch the show. *Crack!* Kirar turned fast, and aother crack came along the other side of the egg. Kiara looked over at he grandfather to see him just sitting there smiling. She looked back at the egg. One last crack came egg shells splatered everywhere. Kiara covered her eyes just in time. She could hear her grandfather start laughing, so she uncovered her eyes. She was amazed at what she saw. This little blue, green, creature was walking in infrount of her. It looked human, but it was blue and green. "This is Jake. He is like your other half. But not like a love half." He said as he got up and walked over to Kiara and Jake. "What is it grandfather?" She asked as she cound not stop looking at it. "Its a dragon, half human demon. It has part of you in it so he will be the same age as you." Kiara watched as this little blue, green thing aged to about seven years old. It was like blinking and something new was there. "In a couple of minutes he will be your age. By then you may want to get him some clothes" Kiara shook her head and relized that Jake was naked. So she got up and ran out of the barn to get him some cothes. All she could find in the house that would possably fit him was a tight black t-shirt and a pair of old blue jeans. She picked up ome socks and shoes on her way out the frount door.

Kiara got back to the barn. 'Grandfather, I got some..." She said as she turned to see this meddium hight, brown eyed, brown haired male standing beside her grandfather. "Hello, Kiara." Jake said with a smile. She smiled back at him and gave him the clothes. Jake put them on and thanked her. All she could do was stand there and look shocked. 'Jake here, can shape-shift into any person or animal. But this is his normal look." Jake smiled. 'I know everything about you. I can walk, talk, and do anything like i have been doing it for years." Kiara lookedat Jake, then at her grandfather and back at Jake. "Wow" Was all she could say. "Jake should have all the skills you have and more. The only thing is that he can't controll fire." Said her grandfather. Jake walked over to Kiara. "Are you hungry?" She asked him. Jake nodded. So Kiara took Jake into the house and made him some food.

"Jeramy, do you want to marry the king?" Jake asked as he helped Kiara feed the horses. "No! I dont!" She yelled back at him as she though the hay into the air. "The king is a jurk and a pervert. Ever since he saw me training, he hasnt stopped popping down to watch me!" Jake finished feeding the horses and turned to Kiara. "So whats going to happen?" Kiara put two more forks of hay into the stales before she turned back to Jake. "I'm running away. Far away. I don't know where to yet, but i'm going." Kiara walked past Jake to put the pitchfork back on the hook, on the sideof the barn. Jake followed and did the same thing. "But I am the only one going with you right?" Jake asked as he ran to catch up to Kiara. "Ya you are. We leave in one week. My birthday is in eleven days and i want to get a head start." She told Jakeas they walked into the house and intothe living area. "Well thats ok. We can do it. With our skills, we can do anything." Jake told her as he followed Kiara. "Ya i hope so." She told him as she sat down on the chair.
