• She stood there for god knows how long, she didn’t move. She just stood there staring at the door. She was about to take a step forward, but changed her mind.
Suddenly she knew she couldn’t, she couldn’t stay anymore. She had to get out of here.
She took a step back and suddenly he was there, holding her hand. Not forcing her to go forward, not hindering her from going back, he was just there as a support like he’d always been.
Except for that time, when she needed him the most. But he was not to blame; it was just destiny I guess…

This time she was going to do it. She walked through the long corridor with determined steps. She reached the door and grabbed the doorknob, and stopped. She withdrew her hand quickly as if the doorknob had burnt her.
She could see her reflection in the glass of the door. The look in her eyes made her flinch away.
    She wasn’t ready.

If she was going to make out there in this harsh world, she had to become someone else. Because a person doesn’t go through what she went through and stays the same, stays sane. So becoming someone else, someone who hasn’t felt the pain she felt, is the only solution.
Now the main question is, who is she to become?
She can become anyone she wants to. But who does she want to be?
Well that’s actually an easy question to answer. She wants to be someone who is happy, who has friends, who hasn’t seen what she has seen, who hasn’t experienced what she experienced.
She smiled a genuine smile for the first time in months. He wasn’t there to see it, but over the months to come he would se often enough.
