• I was sort of happy when I left my house. I just had to get away from there before i turned into a crying mess. I wandered the streets for a while. Knowing no one would notice me i just sat down in an alley somewhere about 3 blocks away from my house.
"At least it hasn't started raining" I said to myself.
"Hello" a voice suddenly said. I stood up and looked around wondering who had said that.
"Who's there?" I called and sat down again.
"Up here" the voice said again. I looked up and saw a person sitting on the edge of a fence. I stared at him for a while. As I was staring he floated down and stood in front of me.
"Well? Aren't you going to say hello?" he asked.
    "I...uhh..." I took a deep breath. "Hello".
"Well, thats more like it! Now then, what are you doing here little girl?"
"Getting away from my home. Who are you?"
"My name's Jake. I died from falling off a cliff. Anyway how about you?"
"I don't get what you mean"
    "How did you die?"
"Oh. Cancer. I died 4 days ago but woke up this morning"
"Odd. You're supposed to wake up right away...hmm..I know! You should come with me to see the Queen Angel."
    "Who's that?"
"She's the queen of the ghosts and angels! You didn't know?"
"No, i didn't. Maybe thats because I was only a ghost for about 3 hours!"
    "Okay. okay. Calm down."
I stood up and started to walk away but he grabbed my arm. I turned around and tried to break free of his grasp.
    "Let go!" I snapped.
"No. This is a serious matter. You have to come with me to see the queen."
"Fine! Just let me go!" I shouted at him. He let go and grinned at me.
    "What's your name anyway?"
    "Claire Rosea."
"Well, it's nice to meet you. Now then, shall we get going?" he asked and held out his hand. I hesitated but took his hand and soon we were flying over my house, my town, and everything i ever knew.
"I'll miss you, mom and dad and Cassie." I said to myself. I looked up at Jake and smiled. I tightened my grip on his hand and closed my eyes.
I was happy for the first time since my death. Who knew that meeting some random ghost person could make you happy after you lost everything you dreamed of and more. I wanted this moment to last forever. But I had a feeling it wouldn't. I would make this moment last as long as it could. I promised myself that.
