• Chapter One: The Beginning
All throughout time there has been a set of rules for all of humanity. A code inserted in our DNA. All had fallowed that code until murder came into their mist. Crimes and killings were regular, and most of them got away. But that is all about to change as my story unravels.
This is the story of little Miss Lola. Lola is an extraordinary girl. She is different from most. It all started when she was five. She had medium strawberry blonde hair with a radiant pair of bluish green eyes that looked hazel when the sun hit her face just right. But in the dark they looked a killing light blue. She could mesmerize any person she wanted. It gave a sense of fear and happiness at the same time, causing self paralyses.
Her mother died when she was a little girl in Texas. Her father then moved to California with Lola’s grandparents. He then started a new job for the government. They got a wonderful beach house and every luxury they could ask for.
It all started on a summer day by the beach. As the sun was setting, Lola was making her way back to her father’s house. She had on a sleeveless bright yellow sun dress that went half way down her legs with a light white mini jacket and matching shoes with her hair down to her mid back. She was coming home from walking her dog. This was the day her life change forever.
All of a sudden her dog ran towards the woods at full speed. She was struggling to hold on to her dogs’ leash. Lola ended up falling over a log on the ground. She was knocked unconscious in the middle of the forest.
When she woke up a wolf was sitting beside her, she got the feeling that she was the Alfa Female for some reason. The wolf was a dark brown with black every here and there. She was a fairly large wolf with beautifully glimmering brownish hazel eyes.
Beside her was an elderly looking woman, do to her shockingly bright white hair, with very fair skin. Lola could have said she was 25. Her hair was put up in twin braids that went to her lower back. She was wearing a long, light blue tunic that went to her knees with white fur trim. The sleeves went to mid-fore arm with white fur trim. She wore dark blue leather armor underneath her tunic. She had a pair of long Capri’s that went three fourths down her legs with wonderfully crafted boots with an exquisite design that covered the bottom two inches of her Capri’s.
The woman looked at Lola and began to smile. “It’s okay. You’re safe now. I’m Shadowpaw, I’m a doctor. This is Heartfall. The rest of the pack will be here any minute now.” The woman seemed to be friendly, but Lola was still very nervous.
Lola was very calm when the pack came in. One wolf named Nosaka licked her cheek. She had a blondish brown coat. Kino, Nosaka’s twin brother, nudged her to sit up. He was less blond and browner than her so that’s how everyone told the difference. Then a big reddish dark brown wolf walked into the room.
“This is Bloodfang. He is the packs leader. He and Kino carried you here. If they didn’t then you would probably be dead of a serious concussion and head trauma. You should thank them. They can understand you, so don’t worry it’s not a silly thing. Its actually very polite.”
“Thank you.” Lola was confused, yet she felt calm, almost like she was at home. But she was in a hut in the middle of the woods. She decided to disregard her suspensions for the time being. They posed no threat to her at the time. That was proving enough that they were friendly for Lola.
Shadowpaw told Lola how she watched over the pack of wolves and that food was scarce. She asked Lola if she wanted to help her. Lola wanted to help but she had a home in the city. So it was decided that Lola would stop by each weekend and bring food.
Shadowpaw and the pack walked Lola back to her house. Lola’s father had called the police because Lola was missing for more than five hours. So they agreed to leave Lola at the beach. Now we are back to Lola running home after the weirdest dog walk ever.
Ever sense Lola helped feed the wolves and was considered part of the pack. She never really understood the connection between her and the wolves but she knew that she was doing just what she was supposed to do. The wolves taught her how to hunt and survive in the wild. She was top in her gym class, everyone asked how she stayed in such good shape but she never told a soul.
Lola is now in 7th grade and is 13. Her hair is a long, fair blonde that reaches to her lower back with red streaks all over. Her eyes have turned to that killing shade of light blue. And in the sun, it turns to a scaring reddish color that almost looks orange. She is remarkably tan, with a beauty mark just above her right cheek. Her wrists are the skinniest ever and her fingers are long and her fingernails are just long enough to hurt but still be pretty.
She is in all honor classes and at top of all. She had few friends but that was because she was different Her most treasured item was a stone that was polished after given to her by the wolves as a birthday gift on her 13th birthday. It looked like a lunar moon. She put it on a choker and wore it every day but it kind of looked like a collar.
Olivia is her best friend that Lola met when she was 6. Her nickname is Livvy. She just doesn’t understand Lola half the time but then again no human should. She has light brown hair and her eyes are a gray tinted emerald green.
She often tries to reach out to Lola but for some reason she always fails. She is very intelligent but is best at her art. However she has never been able to reach Lola’s level.
Next is her friend Jack, a boy who has actually understood what Lola says more often than most. He also has light brown hair but he constantly dies it blond. His eyes are a greenish blue that occasionally looks a bluish purple when the sun hits his eyes at just the right angle. His completion is a surprisingly light tan.
He can usually console Lola. He is a major fighting fool. He is always getting in trouble and Lola always gets him out of it.
Ryland has known her ever sense she was 3 so he has seen her go through her little adventure. He has a dark hazelnut completion with black hair. His eyes are the fairest of hazel. He is a skater Goth. Lola constantly gets mad at him and Jack (him mostly) but she loves them anyway.
Last but not least is Emily, but Lola calls her Emi. She has the lightest completion you can possibly have with color, long sleek black hair and dark brown eyes. She never wears skirts or dresses. Emi is Lola’s computer adviser, seeing as Lola has a bad habit of breaking every electronic devise she ever touched because she pressed almost every button. Lola isn’t a technical logical person.
Her and her friends go to a private school. The girl’s uniforms are a hooded white polo shirt with a blue and a purple stripe on the sleeves and side of the hood. There is a purple tie that is usually tucked into a purple vest with a white strip near the bottom that stops just above the stomach. Last is a blue skirt that has a white stripe and inch above the bottom of the skirt that usually stops somewhere around a few inches above the knee.
The boy’s uniforms are a bit less complicated. They wear a pear of black pants with a matching jacket with a white tee-shirt underneath.
It’s now Valentine’s Day. Lola is in the middle of English class when her life is about to change forever. The fate of all human kind will soon be in her hands.
