• One stormy night where the rats came out and played with each other on the wet sokaing ground, a little girl named Gerda had sneaked out of the house and went to the haunted castle. The haunted castle used to belong to Queen Victoria of Britain but then she abandoned it and went to search for a mansion instead. Rumours spread that her ghost and many dead bodies were still in the castle floor. Nobody has dared to go near. Except Gerda. She was the bravest girl in town and she had so badly wanted to peek inside. Her strict parents had said NO numerous times but she still sneaks out of the house now and then, only to get caught by someone. But Gerda felt lucky that night so as she approached the doors to the castle, lightning stroke but Gerda was not a little bit afraid. She pushed open the doors with a defeanding bang and peered inside. The house was dusty, very dusty and it was lucky Gerda brought a lantern for there was no moonlight that night. She looked around carrying her lantern. All she saw was the hall that used to belong to Victoria with nothing else on it. Not a pencil or even a glass. All the furniture was removed and there was nothing else more than the many specks of dust. She sighed heavily, so there was nothing, not scary nor exciting. She turned around with her lantern ready to go out but the doors were heavily shut. She tried to open them but they were most probably glued by someone, or something. With chattering teeth, Gerda looked around for a window but there was none. Suddenly, a scream echoed through the castle.
