• Chapter 1

A scream shot through the house, and Swy Schol jerked his head up from his computer desk, “Mom!” Swy yelled as he ran downstairs. When he ran around the corner of the stairs, he saw Him. He didn’t have a name that Swy knew of, so he just called the stranger Him (Or He).
The man was tall, about 5 feet, and 6 inches, had dark brown hair that went down to about his eyebrows, and his eyes were green, and had a hint of red. And there He stood a knife in hand almost pricking her neck with it. “Come any closer, and she’s dead, Time Demon!”
“No! Take me instead…” Swy fell to his knees, surrendering.
“Well, that sounds like a good deal!” He said as he came up to Swy.
“Swy, No! Don’t! You need to sta-“
“Shut up! Didn’t you hear him? He wants to die!”
He came up behind Swy, and swung the knife at his neck, but suddenly froze. Swy opened his eyes, realizing he hadn’t been killed yet. He quickly scurried from underneath the knife. The killer’s evil smile was frozen in place, and so was Swy’s mom’s face of horror…
Swy shot up from his bed, covered in sweat. “Oh, it was just a dream.” He looked at his clock, “5:30 A.M. I might as well get up now.” Swy got up, and put on some shorts , and walked down stairs. When he was about to get a bowl of cereal, he noticed a light on in the living room.
“Oh, Swy, you’re up,” His mom said as he walked in, “What are you doing up so early?”
“I had a nightmare, and I couldn’t fall asleep,” Swy said, “The same one.”
“Oh, well, I’ve finally got myself to tell you this. Just, sit down please.” Swy obeyed, and sat down next to her. “Listen, Swy, do you have any idea what happened to your father?”
“No, not really,” Swy said, noticing his mom was getting suspicious, “Why?”
“Well, your dad could control time, and since we got mar-“
“So my dreams were partly true?!”
“Well, yes. Anyway, when we got married, some of his traits got passed on to you.” Mrs. Schol explained.
“What does that have to do with what happened to Dad?” Swy asked.
“I was getting to that. Your dad trapped himself in time itself to save us all. He said he would be back soon”
    “What?”

    Chapter 2

“Wait, so, I’m pretty much I’m the guy who can help save the world?” Swy asked.
“Well, kind of.” Mrs. Schol started, “There are also people who can control space, so they would also help, but I don’t know where one is. When both time and space work together, they could help save the world from, as your dad called them, The Organization XVI.”
    “Who are the Organization XVI?”
“Well, they’re the ones who tried, and to my guess, still trying to hunt down the Time and Space controllers. But, I have something that will help you on your quest.”
    “What do you mean, “Quest?”
“We need you to help the world. Oh, come on!” Mrs. Schol was trying to move a drawer, “Swy, can you please help?”
Swy ran over to help his mother in moving the drawer. Once it was out of the way, she reached into a hole in the wall, pulling out a case.
“Swy, to help you on your adventure, I am giving you this sw- It’s gone!” Mrs. Schol said, already going back to the hole, “It-It’s not here!”
“That’s right, because I took it!” A man walked from a shadowed area. And he had a sword.
“Give the sword back!” Mrs. Schol took a dagger from her pocket, “You see Swy? That’s why the metal detector went off at the airport.”
“Mom, don’t. I can handle this.” Swy went up to the stranger, “You’re the man from my dreams! And I’m pretty sure you’re one of the Organization XVI, aren’t you?” His eyes started to glow many mysterious, “Bring it! Mom, dagger, please.” He asked catching the dagger as his mom threw it.
“That would be my pleasure!” The man said diving forward bringing the sword down. The attack slowed down to a stop,
Yes! It worked! Swy got to where he could grab the sword without cutting off his own hand. Time was starting to unfreeze, going to normal speed.
The man noticed the sword was gone, but he didn’t seem angry, because then he pulled out a gun, aiming it at Swy’s chest, “The end!” he yelled with a twisted look on his face. He shot.

    Chapter 3

There was a sharp screeching sound, and when Swy looked up, the man was staring at him. He then fell backwards, twitching.
Swy looked at the sword and saw a little scratch mark on it. He then knew what had happened. The bullet had deflected off of the sword and back at the man. When Swy looked back at the sword, the dent had disappeared, showing no proof of its past scrape.
“Swy, you better get to school.” Mrs. Schol said with a straight face.
“Mom, this isn’t a time to be jo-“
“GET READY FOR SCHOOL!!!” Mrs. Schol yelled, “And don’t tell anyone, and I mean ANYONE about this.”
Swy scurried to his room, getting fully dressed, grabbed his book bag, and ran outside, just catching the bus. He sat down next to his best friend, Caleb.
    “Why so serious?” Caleb asked.
Swy leaned close to Caleb, “Promise you won’t tell anyone?”
Caleb nodded, “My lips are sealed.”
“OK. You know that nightmare I have a lot? Well, this morning, it partially came true.”
“What d’you mean?” Caleb asked cocking his head.
“My mom told me my dad is trapped in time, and that he’s coming back soon. She also told me I have the powers to freeze time. Then this guy popped out of no where with a sword my mom was looking for. He tried to slice my face off, but I froze time and took the sword. He pulled out a gun and tried to shoot me, but the bullet bounced off the sword, going back at him.”
Caleb shook his head, “I told you not to drink anymore Mountain Bird, but no. You still drank it.”
“I’m serious!” Swy said punching Caleb.
“Oh yeah? Prove it.” Caleb said rubbing his arm.
“OK, I’ll show you the sword after school.”
“Fine, but can we stop by McKing’s first?” Caleb asked jokingly.
    “No!”
“Just for some french fries?” Caleb asked with puppy eyes.
    “Oh, alright.”
But little did Caleb and Swy know that their conversation had grown louder. Loud enough for Robert Storgined, the school bully, to hear what they were saying. He popped his head over the seat, “What’s this I hear about a sword?”
Caleb looked back at him, “Robert, shut up, and get your fat butt back in your seat.”
“Caleb, stop! You’re going to get us in trouble!” Swy said.
“I don’t care.” Caleb said as he turned around, and they were both silent for the rest of the bus ride.
