• "..second busiest street, Clevon Street. That's Ricky, the baker's eldest son. Hey Ricky!" said that heavenly voice - I hardly noticed the hot [surprise surprise] late-teen boy come up to us, grinning, as we stood in the busy street of the city.

"CisandrĂ here experienced humanohizo." Leon said to the baker's son, his voice curt.

I had been told humanohizo was what they called this memory-loss - The way Leon had said that made me feel like he was excluding some detail..

"Damn, Chara, such a pity you forgot what a wonderful relationship we had.." Ricky said in a teasing voice, and Leon shot daggers at him while Lukes punched Ricky playfully on the arm, laughing.
"He's joking. Ricky has a wierd sense of humour." Leon said in a short voice when I raised an eyebrow at him. His expression softened when he looked at me - I didn't know if he did it consciously, because he had looked pretty sour, or if he was doing it sub-consciously. I hoped sub.
"Never believe a word he says about you. Never believe a word anyone says about you but us - the reason you're here is to forget your past and make your future." he said, and started walking again, propelling me along with my elbow; I thinked - hoped - he hadn't liked Ricky trying to flirt with me.. My nails dug into my palm; I would probably have a bruise there tomorrow, I was doing it so much.
As we were walking, the others following, we crossed the street.
Stepping onto the next pavement, my heel twisted, and the strap snapped, sending the buckle flying across the road to rest before a guy standing there.
"Oh! Danuel, could you get that buckle for me?" Before I had finished my sentence, my face felt white, and my blood pumped in my ears.
I had known the guy's name.
I looked, my eyes wide, into Leon's face, and he looked just as shocked as I felt.
    "H-how..how..?"
"I don't know.." he murmured to me.
"But.. I don't remember anything! How can I know his name, but not remember it?" I asked, nervous and a little scared. Leon just shook his head.
I looked round desperately, and saw a girl, about 10, wearing school uniform, unlocking her front door. "That girl is Clhare." I said, in the same quiet voice. "I don't remember that that is her name - I just know, like I can tell just by seeing a person." I was confused, scared, my nails threatening to break the skin of my palm, my teeth worrying my lower lip.
"Well... there's her twin; no-one, even their mother, can tell them apart - What is the twins name?" Leon said in a speculative voice, motioning towards another girl, exactly the same to the missing front tooth, running to Clhare.
"That's Nijna." I said, in the voice that wasn't mine. Leon, still holding me by the elbow, walked us to the twims before they went in.
"Girls? Can you just tell us.. Are you Nijna? And you Clhare?" asked Leon in his strong reassuring voice. The girls nodded confused.
"You can tell us apart?" asked the girl I knew was Nijna, lisping slightly. I nodded, my tanned face slowly regaining its colour.

Leon took me around the town then, to see old friends of his, to see people who had come since after 'Chara' had dissappeared, so I couldn't know there name from memory - But of course I could name them easily; My 'power' had nothing to do with memory.

After we were back at Leon's house and I told him that, he nodded. "I know - some of our people have powers like that. Not that exact one, but stuff as useful. No-one has ever kept them after humanohizo though.. It's really amazing."
I blushed. "What exactly does humanohizo mean? Mikaeli said humano to me when we first met.. Why won't you tell me?"

Leon looked down at his sneakers.
"It means human. Mikaeli said 'You're acting like a human.' " He looked up at me with those liquid-brown depths.

Wait, make self think before being hypnotised by his eyes..
Did he say they weren't human?!?
