• Cassie walked down the front steps, smilng at her boyfriend, Toby. Her short brown hair bounced as she jogged towards him.
    "Hey, you look awesome." Toby whispered as he embraced her. He felt her blush and smiled; he loved to do that to her. "Cmon, we've got to go to school."

    Cassie walked toward her locker, smile still plastered across her face. Several girls began whispering to each other as Cassie walked passed. They looked her up and down, from her spiked choker to her slipknot sweatshirt to the baggy black jeans. They found the smile quite laughable; it didn't belong on her face.

    "Soo, the freak decided to show up again, eh?" Cassie's smile quickly twisted, her face holding as little emothin as possible. She turned her head slightly, as if whoever was behind her held no interest. But the truth was, the girl behond her terrified her.

    Elizabeth Jones; Queen Bee.

    "Oh, hey Lizzy." She said dismissively. Cassie picked up her pace, carefully sidestepping Elizabeth's minions who were forming a wall. The halls had almost completely cleared out. 'Now,' Cassie thought, 'is when they'll really start.' Elizabeth stepped up in front of her, raising her hand high and bringing it down onto Cassie's cheek.

    "We told you to stay home today, Stoner." She spat, smirking. In a few secinds, Cassie was engulfed by a flurry of punches, kicks, and blood. After a about ten minutes, they stopped, turned, and walked to their classes as if nothing happened.

    Cassie picked herself up as she heard the last giggle die into a classroom, then stumbled to the bathroom to clean herself up.

    ~~~~~
    Cassie sat in her bedroom, waiting for Toby to leave. She was anxious; she couldn't do this with him here. The guilt was too much. Cassie let out an audible sigh, and Toby turned, kissing her forehead. A tear ran down her face, unnoticed.
    "I'll be back in a few days, ok?" he whispered into her hair. She nodded, hugging him. She hated lying to Toby, he'd never do this to her.
    "Together forever?" She said, smiling at him. He nodded before walking out. Cassie went to the window, watching his car pull away. Without taking her head away from the fading headlights, she reached into her desk drawer, removing her father's semi-automatic.
    ~~~~~

    Cassie sat outside the house, waiting for Elizabeth to come home. She wanted her to see what would happen; wanted her to see the light leaving her sad eyes.

    A car pulled into the driveway, and out stepped Elizabeth and two of her minions. Quickly, Cassie slid through the shadows and around the back of her the large house.She ran through the kitchen and up a flight of steps, beating Elizabeth to her room. She looked around, eyes settleing on the dresser, lines if white powder in plain sight. 'Ha,' she thought, 'who's the stoner again?'
    Cassie settled herself onto Elizabeth's bed, starin at the door as a cat stares at it's pray. After several miutes, the door slowly opened, revealing three very shocked and terrified girls. Cassie smiled.

    "Hello ladies." she sadi, as if it were perfectly normal for he to e sitting in the girl who caused her all this pain's room, gun in hand. Elizabeth was the first to recover.

    "Why the hell are you in my roo-" she stopped herself; Cassie had the gun pointed atElizabeth's head.

    "Go. Now." she commanded, eyes glittering with excitement. Cassie lead the terrified girl down to the front steps. Elizabeth had started crying.

    "We're calling the police!" One of the girls shouted out the window. Cassie looked at them.

    "That's good, then you could tell them everything that I'm about to say." she turned back to Elizabeth, who was cowering at the base of the steps. "Ever since you first saw me, you've hated me. You had no reason to, you just did. You felt the need to beat the s**t out of me on a regular basis. Well, I've had it, now we're both getting what we deserve."

    "Does Toby know about this?" Elizabeth screamed. Cassie faltered. "He doesn't, does he? What's he going to say when he hears your a murderer?"

    "HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! SHUT OR I'LL BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT!" Cassie screamed. She grabbed Elizabeth, dragging her up there staries and forcing her to stand, faces almost touching. "You're never going to forget this, Lizzy. Once you see Death, there's no going back. It consumes you, taking over everything. You're going to look me in the eyes until there's no light left in them."

    Cassie pointed the gun at her temple. Tears fell freely down her face. "Tell Toby I'm sorry and that I love him." and she pulled the trigger.
