• Chapter 18 Beta:

Beta walked down a street that was slowly getting a little further away from the town. He grunted to himself still mad about having to look for them. “I could have taken out Steven, Bravo, and the other two but instead I’m looking for two little twerps who had to stray from the pack.” His pure black suit was rippling from the wind hitting him as he walked. He had a black hat that covered dark brown hair. His eyes were pitch black and a pair of expensive sunglasses covered them. His walk was that of a self-assured egotistical manic. “Why oh why do you children hid from me this fine day?” he asked as if expecting an answer.

Steven walked back into Bravo’s part of the apartment. Bravo was listening to his messages on his answering machine. Most were about credit card offers and a sweepstake. When they ended Steven began to speak “If you don’t mind my asking why are you helping us? I mean sure it could be to save the world, but you seem stronger than us and there have got to be more of you right? So why us?” Bravo looked at Steven with a serious face “There are a few more of us, and yes we are stronger than you. Let me ask you something. Where do you think the Death Twilights come from?” he waited for Steven to respond “Aren’t they just Twilights who sided with the Tyrant?” Bravo shook his head “No. They’re changed Savior Twilights.” Steven was puzzled, but did his best not to show it “Wait, a Savior Twilight? What is that?” Bravo inhaled and let out a sigh before explaining. “Savior Twilights are the chosen few who were left over from the last war and decided to become protectors of the earth incase the Tyrant ever came back. Death Twilights are Savior twilights who had the seed of evil planted in there mind at the Tyrant’s supposed demise.” He paused for a moment “When the Tyrant is to return that seed grows until the Savior Twilights are driven to insanity and back only to become mindless servants for the Tyrant. My… brother was one among those changed…” His eyes showed the pain even though he did his best to conceal it. “When a Savior Twilight is changed there’s no going back. The only thing that can be done is to fight and, if necessary, kill them before they do to so many innocent.” Steven’s voice was sympathetic “I’m sorry.” With that he went back to his apartment and he heard Bravo shut his door.

Amy again dropped onto Arc’s worn out coach only to hurt herself. “Ow, that hurts.” Arc walked over to her and sat down next to her “You ok?” She nodded “yeah… we need to get you a new coach.” They both laughed. There was silence for a few minutes that was interrupted by a knock on the door. Arc got up and walked over to the door. “Did Steven find out where I live or something?” he asked to no one in particular as he unlocked the door and opened it. “Hello” he said while opening the door. He saw a man in a pure black suit standing in front of him. He looked at Arc while taking off his sunglasses. “Are you Arc Wolf?” he asked in a calm voice. Arc nodded “Yes who are…” he was interrupted when the man punched him in the stomach which caused him to bend over. “I am Beta. Nice to meet you.” His knee came up and hit Arc in the face, which sent him tumbling backwards. Amy sprang off the coach and attempted to kick him, but he dodged it with ease and threw her backwards into a wall. “Now now, temper temper. You’ll have to wait your turn.” Arc regained his composure and tried to hit him with a spinning round house. It hit him in the side, but he jumped with it and grabbed his leg. He threw Arc out onto the street. Amy got up and hit him with a diving tackle that made him fly onto the street. As soon as he hit the asphalt he did a handspring and got into a standing position while brushing off his suit. “You dirtied my suit.” As he said this Arc got up and focused his power. He started to howl when Beta grabbed him by the throat “Oh, we can’t have the Twilight Wolf Howl now can we?”
