• Kumiko is an 14-year-old orphan living as a servant in the castle of the land Chantra(where the most of the story takes place). Her name means long time beautiful child. Her caretaker is a servant called Aiko (love child).
    She never knew her family's name, so she has no last name. Her caretaker says that her parents abandoned her on the doorstep of the servant's living quarters. Whenever Kumiko sees a lost child, she feels mad at the parents and sad for the child.
    Kumiko's name has been chosen well. She would be considered plain to higher rank people and to us, but among the servants she is the fairest. Her shiny hair is the most beautiful brown with natural highlights, eyes light green, lips pink and smooth and skin peachy with a slight blush. Eyelashes long and eyebrows relaxed. Her body is delicate-looking but Kumiko is actually pretty steady. On the back of her neck is a small scar from when she got beat for talking back to the head servant. On her left shoulder is a unique birthmark that looks like a bird, if you look closely and Kumiko is awfully proud of it.
    Kumiko is pretty much the opposite of Naomi. She is bold and protective. She is stubborn and when she gets involved in an arguement, she can be very rude. But on her good side, she is hard-working, warm and cheery.
    Kumiko does not go to school but she learns alot from Aiko, who went to school. She learns that Aiko was the one who gave her the magical abilities she has today and loves her very much. She was the one who taught Naomi more about these abilities and their true origin.
