• I need to quench this thirst that robs me of my sanity.
Don’t try to purify, your attempts are heeded as heresy
in a mortal world as long as I remain in disguise to
    your followers.
    You should have recognized easily that I am already damned;
out of your reach, though it is already too late to act, for
the desire that burns within me; the need to feed on mortality takes
control as my eyes flare a deep red, bringing a dark aura about my
    atmosphere and yours...
    I call to you:
”Come to me, give me your mortal flesh and you shall
enter simplicity; enter the metamorphosis of becoming
    one of us. Make no attempt to hang onto humanity;
it shall only bring you torment and despair.”

I envelope you with darkness as I hold your body close and
    pierce your humanity.
You now slowly enter a life renewed; the world of the undead.
I draw back from you and drop your pallid body with nonchalance
    as you are leaving mortality.
I stand there and savor the taste of your blood as it runs over my
tongue, a taste that exceeds ambrosia.
I then cast a smirk at your lifeless form, my fangs luminous with the
remainder of the thick, red liquid I have withdrawn.
You awaken soon after, oblivious to your past, as we all were when
we first entered this world of the damned.
You scream in ecstasy, your voice renewed as you arise, for you are
now entering the shadows and leaving the light.
Pathetically you writhe and I watch you, amusement dancing in my often
murky eyes. Your mortal ambition remains as you try to grasp onto the
humanity that is gradually leaving you.
    I mock you:
”You must let go of it. You need to feed. Soon you will lose
the little humanity you may have left and enter immortality.”

Your once radiant eyes have changed to a darkened gold, and suddenly
glow a deep red as you address a new hunger; a lust for blood.
You cease your struggle and begin to recognize your new instincts as
your humanity slowly disintegrates. You now stand before me and say
lustfully, “I long for blood. Guide me.”
I smirk yet again, my bloodstained fangs now aglow and reply,
“I shall teach you the ways of a true vampire… just wait and see.”
I cut my palm without hesitation for such instincts were below mine as a
vampire at the time. I then raise my palm to your mouth and you drink
    steadily and thoroughly.
Soon after, you draw back, satisfied from settling your hunger so quickly.
You then glance at me briefly, only to turn and wince as the little humanity
you have left returns to your senses. Confused and frustrated you
retreat to another location, lost in the endless ponder that humanity
    has brought you.
    I remind you:
"After transformation it is common for us to slowly remember our pasts,
yet at the same time we gradually lose all humanity that may be left within us."

In response, you return almost as quickly as you had left and stand
before me with questioning eyes. You then enquire softly, "you were human once...-"
I cut you off, a somber aura about me suddenly as my eyes return to their
original murky gray and reply mysteriously, "-yes, I suppose you could say I was."
My answer given; I suddenly disappear into the night, leaving you in solitude.
