• We have all heard the story of the Frankenstein monster, but not everybody catches it's true meaning. What is the true, deep meaning of this story? Is it really about creating life, doing it for the advancement of science, or does it have a more religious outlook to it. True, Victor Frankenstein DOES create a bein, a monster, which actually represents himself. But, at the same time, Victor is trying to be God. He has given life to something. He is also like God because he casts away the creature;the fall of Adam.
Each and every one of us have our own "monster." Our inner darkness, that little dirty secret that we tell no one about, or we don't know it yet ourselves. This is why the world is the way it is today. Money, pride, glory, fame...it happens over and over. Until man can take control over their desires, we will always be in this dark, evil world. True, there are some that people may call "saints," but are they really? It is human nature to do things for gain, whether we want money, praise, or acknowledgement. We always have the question, "What's in it for me"? So, how will you handle everything? Who's going to be there for you when you fail at controlling your own monster on the inside of you? Guess what, we're all monsters when you think of it.
