• Her breath steamed up the glass, and as she pored contently through her book, he rapped sharply on the window. As she glanced quickly into his pale face, he nodded, as if to show that he was ready for something. The ghost of a smile flickered across her face, then she quickly packed her book deep into her knapsack, grabbed her coat and departed from her perch...

'What time do you call this?', she peered at him from across the railings, and then threw herself into his arms. They held each other for what seemed an eternity before he broke apart the embrace and kissed her softly upon her forehead.
'Do I have to be on time everyday?' he asked sarcastically, 'or can I be fashionably late?'. Alex stroked her nose gently, then he kissed her again, only this time on the bridge of her nose. She smiled and tried to return the kiss, but being considerably shorter than him, she could only reach his neck, she seemed quite contented to settle for that instead.
'So, Whats the plan of action?' Sam asked quite innocently, 'only, I thought that maybe we could... you know...', Sam moved back and swayed on the spot, whilst biting her lip.
'Please don't go into that again, you know how I feel about that' Alex replied timidly. 'Why do we always have to talk about this?'

When Alex glanced over, Sam had sat on the bench and had proceeded to take out her book again, he sighed impatiently and went and sat next to her. Sam looked at Alex briefly with a piercing stare, and then returned to her book, Alex placed his hand gingerly onto her knee. Whilst looking into her eyes, he managed to attract her attention, and he began to talk slowly to her...

'Look' he said, 'please dont think that just because I won't do that with you, that I don't love you. You don't always have to do that in a relationship.' Alex smiled slightly at Sam, and she returned the smile, but gingerly. 'Come on,' he whispered, 'do we really need to do that? We have a lot of fun anyway'.
    She nodded then giggled.
'Hey, lets go home,' Alex whispered, and he stood up slowly, and held his hand out which she took without hesitation. She kissed his wrist, and then began holding and leaning onto her taller companion.
Once they climbed the small wooden fence, they chased each other playfully into the woods, only to find that out that these very woods and their privacy would test their relationship further...
