• Here's a small portion of what my story starts out like I've worked really hard on it...I'd really like to hear your opinionit's a book I'm looking forward to publishing and I can't post it all at once so bear with me please

Small scared and very swift steps echoed loudly as they ran up the empty building stairs. Gasping breaths could be heard from whomever was running up them. Not too far behind from whom was running could be heard horrid groans, sorrowful cries and angered screams.

At the very top of the floor a small young slender hand that appeared to be no older than ten years old desperately pushed on the metal bar that opened the heavy metal creaking door that gave access to the buildings rooftop.

Into view stepped a little girl with a very pallid skin complexion produced by the fear that was clearly visible in the half dilated pupils of the young girls soft blue eyes. Long loose locks of damaged and poorly treated straight brown hair flung behind the small scared girl.

A tattered ragged white shirt and a pair of off blue dirty jeans adorned what promised to be a very beautiful slender fit body in the future. On her feet she wore nothing more than the small cuts and bruises from all the falls that she had taken whilst running away.

Wasting no time she made her way to the crate and crawled inside letting a huge gasp escape as the door flung open. her small hands covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming as "they" made their way up to the rooftop searching for her. A raspy scary voice called out "Where do you hide little one?" as a wicked cold and cruel laughter could be heard. Another voice spoke calling to her "Come on out dearest...we will not harm you" Malevolent chuckles followed with that making the little girls nerves betray her slowly but surely.

Tears streamed down the girls eyes as her body began to violently shake. She could hear their dragging steps approach the crate as the fear quickly crept upon her crawling under every inch of her skin. Time seemed to have stopped as an eerie silence filled the air. The only sounds heard were those of the crackling fire that had devoured the city slowly consuming what it touched.

Soon there was the creaking of the wood, her small head lifted and her pupils fully dilated as a deep gasp came from her... (To be continued)
