• The Boy:

I couldn't wait any longer. I wanted her here, now . The pain I felt from last weekend's show still throbbed in my heart. To ever make it up to Taylor would be an impossible feat, but to have her here with me would ease my heart.

Then finally, all waiting was over. I heard her Land Rover Discovery pulling into my drive way and with that I sprinted out the front door.

"Taylor!" I called out to her as she parked her car. She hopped out of the car in her Charlie the Unicorn t-shirt and gray skinny jeans. She looked perfect as always.

"Excited much?" she laughed. I took her hand with no hesitation and a look of astonishment appeared on her beautiful face.

She formally introduced herself to my parents and sister. They seemed surprised for normally my friends or girls that came over never did that. Yet I never gave my family the chance to ask questions for I stole Taylor away to give her a tour of the house. First stop: my room.

"Jeez, it's like an apartment!" she exclaimed.
"Well, I am on house arrest." I responded.
"But what teenager needs all this stuff? My room is half the size of this!" She went over to my desk and glanced at some papers (one having Lea's number on it). I heard a angry sigh pass out of Taylor's lips after she saw that.

After she finished exploring, we went outside. I showed her the two horses and two more dogs. The sun was starting to set so we sat on the swing near the barn.

"What are you doing?" I laughed as I felt Taylor's head on my shoulder and she seemed to... snuggle it?
"Nuzzling you." she said in a squeaky voice.
    "Haha, alright."
"Mhm." And she kept nuzzling me. It was cute; I'll admit that. No girl had "nuzzled" me before. Most of the girls I brought over just wanted to get down to making out and so forth. Taylor hadn't even come near my face or try to kiss me. In the midst of my thoughts, I felt the nuzzling stop. I looked down to see her hazel eyes looking at me. The moon illuminated her tan skin and perfect hair. Her lips seemed to glisten under the stars' shinning.

I took her face into my hands and leaned down. My lips were barely touching hers, and I could feel her breath speed up. I could see her chipmunk cheeks turn a soft pink, and her soft eyes look right into mine. Then I gently leaned in more and kissed her.

I was kissing her...and she was kissing me back.

    The Girl:

I couldn't control my smiles after seeing Mason. My face became sore from being so happy! I felt so relieved and relaxed. Nothing seemed to bother me...except for the Caleb issue.

He had stopped calling and texting completely, yet I knew that is what I had to give up if I ever wanted Mason as a boyfriend. It just felt different.

This was the week before Christmas break. I flew through my semester exams and ended this first semester with all A's. My whole family and I were driving to Texas that Saturday for the break. This meant I would only be able to see Mason after I got my hair done on Friday (since I finished my last exams early).

    I couldn't wait.
I sat in the hair salon...wishing the foils in my hair could magically hurry up. I stared at the clock...1:05 PM...1:45 PM...2:10 PM...
Shouldn't my hair be done by now? No, of course not! There's the under color as well.
    2:30 PM...3:00 PM...
Hurry, hurry, hurry! The anticipation was killing me.

Then finally, at 4:30 PM, my hair was complete! I rushed to my car and drove quickly to Mason's.

After an hour of driving, Mason's house finally was visible and excitement raced through me.

"What took you so long!" Mason called as he came from the front door. In response, I pointed to my hair. "I thought it looked fine last week."

"Then you're blind! My roots were like..a mile long!" I called back.
"Whatever, come on! I want to show you the kittens!"

We walked into his sister's dark play room were a box was set in a corner. Inside the box were three small kittens with their mom. I gasped in astonishment.
    "They're so cute!" I whispered.
"I know." Mason whispered back while holding me. "Which one is your favorite?"
"The little orange one. His name is Pumpkin."
"Haha, okay. That's your Christmas present."
    "Really!?"
"Yeah. They're too young right now; but, I promise he's all yours."
    "Eeek!"

I got up to look at a tank that had a frog in it. "I love frogs!" I whispered.
"I know that, silly, you have at least 30." Mason replied.
As we stood there looking into the tank by the team light of the heat lamp, my hand and his hand seemed to hold each other at the exact moment in time.

    "How the--" I quickly said.
"Don't question it." Mason stopped me.
    "B-but!"
"Shh, Taylor, there's another Christmas present. You're my girlfriend now."
"That was kind of a declarative statement not a question."
    "I don't see you arguing."
Before I could respond, his lips were on mine.

    He was right.
    I wasn't going to argue.
