• Chapter 1: A Chance Meeting

It was a dark and rainy day as usual up in the town were Silencia lived. She was used to the rain and the darkness, for it was what she was used too. She loved nothing more than to be out swinging on the crooked old swing set that was a part of the old town park. She was a loner, and was so used to it, but sometimes she wished that others around her would notice that she was there. Silencia was pretty average looking with green eyes and dark reddish brown hair that came down to her shoulders. She was different.

She was not always invisible to those around her, she was actually pretty well liked in her old town although she hated popular kids, but at least she was noticed before she moved to the dark and desolate one she lives in now. On her first night up there, she couldn't understand why no one would talk to her when she said "hi". It was like she was a ghost in the mist.

The town wasn't much either...just a dark place with a few shabby houses here and there. The school was at least a half hour drive away, and lucky for Silencia she already had her driver's license. She went to school as usual, but she just could not understand why no one would talk to her or even notice her.

"Hey...um does anybody have an extra pencil I can borrow?" Silencia asked.

The whole class still looked blankly at the teacher and either they couldn't hear her, or if they were just ignoring her made Silencia fume. All she wanted was a pencil was that so hard to do!

Then out of the blue someone answered back.

"Um sure you can borrow one of mine," said a boy with dark black hair and silver eyes.

" Thanks, my name is Silencia, but you can call me Sil." Silencia said while grabbing the extra pencil from his hand.

" Nice to meet you Sil, my name is Iven pronounced Even." Iven said while giving Silencia the extra pencil.

" You are the first person to notice me! I wonder why that is so?" Silencia whispered to him.

" Probably because no one notices me either." Iven replied.

Silencia and Iven just looked at eachother for the longest time, they would realize in time that on that day when they met would change the outcome of their lives forever.

    Ch.2: Town Mystery

Silencia and Iven became really good friends in a flash. I mean no one else would notice them so it was easy for them to get along. Iven wanted to get to bottom of things of why no one noticed them here. They were in the lunchroom at the school they went to when Iven began to speak.

" Hey Sil, Do you ever wonder why they don't notice us, or as if they are purposefully ignoring us." He asked while waving his hand around.

" Well yeah, but its not like we can do anything. I mean there is no point asking them." Silencia said while chewing on a french fry.

" Well I mean we can go to the town library and look facts up in the town newspaper about what happened here." Iven stated.

" Alright that could do, but I have to call my dad after school to get his permission. " Silencia said while they were walking to put up their trays.

Three hours later Silencia called her dad to see if she can go to library with Iven. He said "yes", pretty much because he was glad his daughter finally made a friend. Lucky for Silencia, her family still noticed her. Silencia made the assumption that only people who lived in the town since the day they were born were the ones that ignored her and Iven.

Silencia and Iven headed towards the library after school to see what in the heck was the matter with this town. Once they were in the library Iven and Silencia went to the back to find the newspapers.

" Hey Sil, check this out! In this article it said that the last people to move here was in the year 1978, it was on that night that town suffered a major storm, and the mountains near by had huge mudslide....all of the people in the town died or left...and in this one that is a year later....states that no one else moved here...actually it's off the map now." Iven read.

" That is weird, but if this town is wiped off the map and no one is suppose to be here, or even alive then that means that the ones that can't see us is dead. But how did we end up here?!" Silencia said confused while reading the article over Iven's shoulder.

" Yeah that is weird...and I really don't know why we are here, but I bet its to help this town and the people in it. We are meant to be together, and it's destiny we ended up here." Iven said.

Silencia just thought for the longest time. They had to do something, but what.

Ch. 3 The Truth of Destiny

Once Iven and Silencia found about what really happened in the town they lived in. They tried to come up with a plan in order to save the town and to free the souls within it.

" Hey Sil, I was just visiting the other town around here, and I overheard someone talking about an old witch who lives not that far from there. Maybe she can help us out or something." Iven stated while fidgeting with the string on his jacket while he and Silencia were walking over to his house after school.

"Really that could be interesting. Let's go tonight, I have no homework and I am sure my dad won't mind. " Silencia said.

" Alright then tonight we go see the witch." Iven said pleased with himself.

" You make it sound like we are in the "Wizard of Oz movie!"" Silencia joked.

Iven laughed. He had such a wonderful laugh that Silencia almost blushed. The date was on for that night for them to go talk to witch.

Silencia and Iven were driving to the village were the old witch lived. It was not that different from the town they lived in, except that people actually noticed them. It was a nice feeling. The witch didn't actually live within the town, but was actually few miles outside of the town. Her house was actually quite nice and it had little flower boxes in the window. Iven and Silencia headed up onto the porch and rang the doorbell. No one answered for quite sometime when all of sudden a young women who was no more in early twenties with wavy blonde hair and blue eyes opened the door.

" Yes. May I help you?" She said in a soft voice.

" Um..we are looking for the resident witch of this house, is she home?" Iven asked while trying to peer around the young girl's shoulders into her house.

" You are speaking to her, and I rather be called Fendala. How may I be of service to you?"

" Oh well we're sorry, we just thought you were a lot older." Iven said apologetically.

" Nah, don't be...I get this alot from people. Well come in you two. I will make us some tea." Fendala said while leading them into her house.

Silencia was awe strucked at the inside of Fendala's house it was very bright and clean. Even her spell books were in perfect alphebetic order. Iven was just as amazed with how things looked. Fendala came back to where they were with some tea for them and began to talk.

" So you two say you came from the abandon village not too far from here. And you believe it is possessed by lost souls and ghosts, am I correct." Fendala asked.

Iven and Silencia nodded and listened some more to Fendala.

" Well I believe you. And according to my stones it says that you two are supposed to be entwined together within your destinies." Fendala said while tossing stones onto the coffee table.

" What do you mean by that?" Silencia asked.

" It means you two are meant to save this town, and it's your destinies you happened end up with eachother." Fendala explained.

"So what do we do then?" Iven asked.

" You two will find out once the answer comes to you, but you must willing to sacrifice something for the other. Now its getting late and I must have you leave now. I am sorry I haven't been much help, but there is only so much I can do." Fendala said while she led them out of her house.

Iven and Silencia drove home pondering about what Fendala said. They had to sacrifice something for the other, but what?!

Ch. 4 Truth of the Sacrifice( Iven's and Silencia's first Kiss)

" Hey Sil, what do you think Fendala meant when she said that we must sacrafice something for the other?" Iven asked her.

" I have no idea, but I am guessing one of us must sacrafice our own life in order to save the town from a never ending darkness, but I wish there was another way though." Silencia said while looking out the car window.

Iven just nodded in response. He was just so happy to have met Silencia. He was actually pretty lonely to begin with and he loved that fact that she noticed him. Silencia smiled at him and she thought she saw him blush; she blushed a little herself.

Iven was confused by the feeling he got when he was near her. It was slightly painful, yet it was wonderful. He just met Silencia, and was already having these feelings. Iven was in love...yes...that had to be it he was in love with Silencia.

Silencia saw a gleam in Iven's eyes. She was just so overfilled with joy, but yet she still felt a sense that something was missing. She watched Iven with a intriguing eye. He was so handsome, charming, and sweet. How can a guy like him notice me ,Silencia thought to herself.

She turned to look out the car window, it was late and it was starting to rain. Silencia loved the rain. It was a place to hide your feelings, especially when you are sad, because then no one would realize that you we're crying.

They finally made it back home, and the rain was pouring. Iven got out of his car and was about to help Silencia, but she was already out. He looked at her and realized she was crying.

Silencia realizing that she was crying tried to turn away, but it was too late. Iven kissed her. He kissed with such care and passion, that she thought her soul would melt. It was kind of embarrasing because she was still crying. She kissed him back, and then they just embraced eachother.

They were soaked and cold, but they felt warm. Silencia was in love with Iven, and Iven was in love with her.

Silencia realizing this finally got the meaning of Fendala's message. In order to save the town, one of them must be willing to die for the other. Silencia did not want to share this with Iven because she did not want to lose him.

    Ch. 5 Parker The Ghost

Silencia kissed Iven goodnight once he dropped her back home at her house. She was about to head to her porch when she all of sudden felt a faint tug on her pant leg. She looked down and a small boy was looking up at her. She bent down to see the boy more clearly. The boy was dead, he looked liked he suffocated in the mudslide, he was really dirty had blonde hair and blue eyes ,and he had contusion on the back of his head.

" Excuse me, miss, but have you seen my mommy! I can't find her, and I saw you and...um how come you are so pale miss!" The little boy cried.

" Um you can see me! Um I have no idea where your mother is, but I bet I know were we might find her...come on! Oh and what is your name, mine is Silencia you can call me Sil!" Silencia said while brushing the dirt of the boy's clothes and face, he was cold, freezing cold!

" My name is Parker...are you a ghost!" Parker asked curiously!

Silencia shook her head and told Parker she would explain everything later, but they had to get to the place where the accident happened first, the oldest part of town. She carried Parker on his back...she would of gotten her car, but she was out of gas, and there just wasn't any time. She ran to Iven's house. When she got there Iven was entering his house.

"Iven! I need for you come down here...please...its an emergency!" Silencia said almost out of breath.

Iven quickly turned around and rushed down towards her. He then saw the little boy on her back.

" Are you okay?! And who is that?! " He said while checking Silencia.

" Yes Iven I am alright, and this boy is Parker, he he dead, and we are looking for his mom, but I think I know where we might find were the spell over these spirits that is keeping them here. And I I believe its the site of where the first accident happened...the first mudslide! " Silencia explained while dragging Iven back to his car.

" Sil, wait...I don't understand, what are you not telling me...you figured out the secret to Fendela's message didn't you." Iven said while looking curiously at her.

Silencia placed Parker in the car and then she turned and looked the other way from Iven. How could she tell him...she could not stand to see him die! Iven grabbed her arm and turned her to face him. She was crying...she tried to wipe away her tears, but they just kept coming. Iven then pulled her closer to him and he just held her tightly, he did not want to lose her for anything!

Ch. 6 Where it all Began

Silencia and Iven were in the car heading up to the place were the first mudslide happened. Parker was still in the back, it was sometimes hard for Silencia and Iven to remember he was dead, for he looked liked a normal dirty child. They were going to end the suffering and cruelty these poor spirits had to suffer, they were trapped in an alternate reality. They needed to move on!

Iven pulled the car up to an old log cabin looking kind of house, and he helped Silencia and Parker out of the car. The place looked abandoned and runned down. There was huge amounts of mud still caked on to the houses, like a shell on a turtle. They walked to the old shrine dedicated to all of the people who died on that tragic day. This was probably were the portal was that was letting the dead believe they are still living.

Iven and Silencia looked in awe, at all the ghosts that were coming through. They acted like normal human beings, doing what they usually would of done when they were alive. Parker then let go of Silencia's hand, and ran towards a woman, who was wearing a plaid skirt with a white blouse, she quickly picked up Parker and hugged him, but when Silencia tried to say "hi", the woman just ignored her like she was dead. Parker tried to tell his mom about Silencia, but she just looked at him and placed her hand on his head...like he had some sort of cold. Parker quickly turned back and waved goodbye to Silencia and Iven.

" Hey Sil! I am going to give Fendela a call on my cell, maybe she can make more sense of this. This might be where we have to help them." Iven stated while waving his hand around.

Silencia just looked at Iven and nodded with agreement. She was just so sad, how could so many people die, at such an alarming rate, it was not fair to them, to be trapped like that, to never move on. Silencia began to tear up, she just could not take it.

Iven was calling Fendela when he realized that Silencia was crying again. He quickly left a voice message because apparently Fendela wasn't home. He ran towards Silencia and he hugged her as quick as he could. Iven just could not stand seeing her cry.

Silencia buried her head into his chest, and the tears just kept coming, she was so heartbroken. She wanted to help these people, but what Fendela asked for them to do was just so unfair.

    Ch. 7 Silencia's Ultimate Decision

Fendela had just gotten home when she saw that her answering machine had a message waiting for her. She played it and realized that Iven's voice was on the other end, it had something to do with them finding out how to help the town they lived in. Fendela called Iven back as soon as the message was done.

" Uh...hello...Iven, it is me Fendela....uh...huh... Oh my, so you think Silencia figured out the saying, well do you want me to tell you or do you want to hear it from her. I will tell you now that it will be easier if I tell you. Oh okay, well its your decision, and be careful ghosts are so unpredictable," Fendela said while talking with Iven on her phone.

Iven hanged up his cell phone after Fendela was done talking. He just wished that Silencia would tell him what was going on. What was so bad about figuring out the saying, that would make Silencia want to keep it a secret. Iven was about to get Silencia, but when he turned around she was gone.

Silencia was walking around the old runned down part of town, when she realized that the town was built on a cliff. She bent over the edge to see how far down it was. It was pretty far. The town was built on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The ocean was so vast and beautiful, it seems as though it would go on forever.

She had taken alot of thought into what Fendela said. "Sacrifice something or someone for the other." According to the message this meant either Silencia's or Iven's life. Silencia just could not bare it if Iven took his life, so there was only one other option, she had to sacrifice herself. Was she that desperate to save a hundred lost souls, and that of her lover?! She looked over the edge once more and made up her mind.

She didn't look back and was about to jump to her desmise, when all of a sudden she felt a hand grab hers, it was Iven's. She turned and looked at him. She felt so ashamed. Iven just looked at her, and then before she knew it he was grasping her tightly, but she was not the one crying it was him.

" Sil, why?! Why were you about to jump is it because of what Fenedela said." Iven said while still holding on to Silencia.

Silencia just nodded, she wanted to tell him so badly, but now since he knew what the saying meant it could very well mean he would take his own life.

" Iven promise me something. Promise me no matter what you won't take your life. I know what you are thinking, and I won't let you!" Silencia said firmly.

" Sil, but we must do something, and if that is the meaning of the saying then well I rather it be me than you." Iven argued.

" You don't understand, I am begging you Iven not to do this. Please don't take your life on account of me. I love you way to much!" Silencia cried out.

" Sil, not even all of your desperate pleas will change my mind. I rather you live a full and happy life, you have the potential to move on. I love you Silencia, but my mind is made." Iven said while giving her one last hug. He then walked back towards the place where the shrine was.

Silencia chased after him, and she pulled him into her, and then she gave him the most passionate kiss ever. She wanted him to remember something to live for, if not to live for her.

    Ch. 8 Destiny Almost Fulfilled!

Fendela was worried about Iven and Silencia, after she got done talking with Iven. Something was wrong, she decided to use her magic crystal orb to see what was going on. She looked into the shining sphere and what she saw, was Iven and Silencia totally miss understanding the saying. They thought they must sacrifice themselves in order to save the town's people's spirits that were trapped. She grabbed her coat and car keys, and she quickly decided to drive to where they were.

Luckily she knew the place they were at; she usually went hiking there during the summer to do some meditation. She had to get to them fast before they did something stupid, or worse!

" God damn, those kids, they totally missed the meaning of the saying!" Fendela cussed to herself.

Iven was trying to get away from Silencia because he just couldn't bare to see her cry and being so upset. He loved her very much, and if this was the only way she could live and be happy then so be it. Even if there was another way which there probably wasn't , he would still take his own life for hers.

Silencia was chasing Iven, begging him not to kill himself, it was wrong, and there had to be some other way, they just had to think about it. She was so sad, and she wanted nothing more than for Iven to live, to live for her, and to live with her. Silencia was running as hard as she could; when all of sudden she heard foot steps behind her; she quickly turned around, and right behind her was Fendela.

" Silencia, You must stop Iven, you both got the saying wrong! It doesn't mean you have to kill yourself, what it means is that you must give your love, and joy, and the right of passage to them, in order for them to be free, it does not mean your life! I will help you understand more, and I will help you free these spirits, but I need you both!" Fendela explained to Silencia.

Silencia answered curiously, " So we didn't need to kill ourselves, so we can live!"

Fendela nodded her head and said, " Yes, you both can live, now hurry and get Iven before he does something he regrets."

Silencia smiled at Fendela, and ran towards Iven yelling as hard as she could.

" Iven, we don't need to sacrifice ourselves! Fendela is here and she told me that we got the meaning of the saying wrong! Please don't kill yourself! I love you! Please!"

Iven heard this and quickly turned around he was pummeled by Silencia. He grabbed her and pulled her into him, her tears were wetting his shirt, but he did not care. He did not want to let go of her for nothing. He then saw Fendela coming up behind her, and he said seriously.

" Fendela did we get the saying wrong, is there another way!"

" Yes,but we must head back down to where the shrine is! I will help you guys do a spell that should help these spirits." Fendela said while heading back to the shrine.

Iven and Silencia quickly followed after her. This was going to be it, they were going to free these lost souls!

Ch. 9 A Bright Tunnel and Souls Freed!

Silencia and Iven ran back down to the shrine where Fendela happened to be waiting. They came up to her and waited for her instructions. She had them grasp eachothers hands and she made sure they were above the shrine enclosing it like a circle.

" Are you two ready! I know I told you that this did not need blood, but it does, but not like a whole gushing bloody heck of it! All I am going to is p***k each of your guy's finger and I want you to trace the blood onto the shrine! Do you understand!" Fendela explained while drawing a needle out of her skirt pocket.

Iven and Silencia nodded while still looking at eachother, they obediently gave Fendela one of their fingers for her to p***k. They took each of their fingers that the blood was running from and traced it along the grooves of the shrine. The shrine seemed to have soaked it all up like a sponge.

" Alright, that is good enough. Now grasp eachothers hands again. This part of the spell will require a little bit more than blood, I need for you guys to give your heart and soul towards it. I need for you to say this spell aloud and with all of your love...'I give my blood, and all of my love, to set you free, so you can finally see, and live forever in enternity!" Fendela told them.

Iven and Silencia looked at eachother and said, " We give our blood, and all of our love, to set you free, so you can finally see, and live forever in enternity!"

Out of nowhere a bluish green light game from the shrine. It enclosed Iven and Silencia in a cocoon of light. Silencia was drawn into it towards Iven, she held onto him, and he held onto her. Silencia looked up and saw something so beautiful and serene it was hard to describe. They both saw a bunch of small orb like lights descend towards the sky, and when it was finally done, they both collasped to the ground. They were wiped out, but all they wanted to do was laugh. Iven kissed Silencia, and she kissed him back! They were so happy to have freed all of those people, and that they had eachother.

Fendela came over to them and said, " You did it! Congrats I knew you two were special!" She gave them a big hug, and they lived well happily ever after, or at least they did!

    Dear Diary,

Okay today was something out of a story or something like it. I had to help these two kids who happened to be something so extraordinary, I believe them to be an elite type of people that are only born a certain time. They are called Spirit Tamers. They have the power to tame, free, our excorsize spirits. Although they must always come in pairs, each one has a special talent. I plan on working with Silencia and Iven, they want to know more about their special gift. Well I must be going, until next time.

    Sincerly,

    Fendela
