• Prologue:

Rainclouds above my head, black tears falling down my face. Just a feeling, this feeling of lost hope and emptiness just buried under seven feet of dirt. I just stand there looking at him, his dark hair, shallow eyes and frowning smile, while I’m dressed in black being the last one to throw my rose and say goodbye. I feel numb. The only thing I did was stand there and hope that maybe just maybe he would revive. But then I heard a voice:
    -Lucy!
It was my mother calling me.
-Lucia! Come on! Get in the car because we are about to leave.
    -Yes mom.

    1. Moonwalk of memories
    Summer
I get in the car; it’s not a very pleasant car. It’s a red caravan with dents on every corner. It looked like it had been in war. It’s my father’s first car. He says it’s the most amazing car on this earth but in my ways I think it’s a piece of junk.
As I sit down on a car seat, in my mind I start to think and ask myself:”Why, why did he have to die?”Well yes I know, I feel alone talking to myself. I just can’t believe that last week he was still there. I remember his soft voice, his delightful smile and his gentle words, but now it’s all gone. Sunday everything was so good. I remember in the afternoon I had gone to see Derek. He lives two houses away from mine. When I went over to his house he was on the floor steps like if he was waiting for me. It was like his everyday routine. Derek just smiled at me and told me:
-Did you know a very rich kid in our town died?
    Then I asked:
    -Of what cause?
-He took away his life because he was unhappy
But then I remember Derek’s father died by taking away his life. He was unhappy too. I just stood there and gasped from what had happened. I asked Derek if he was ok and he told me he was fine. I stood there looking at him watching his face replay that dreadful part of his life. He looked lonely and worried. So I sat next to him waiting to see his response.
When he finally came out of his nightmare he went and asked me if I wanted to go to the Junkyard with him. As always I accepted his request and we left.
When we got there we found a bunch of stones thrown on the floor. Derek grabbed one and he threw it to an old car that was in front of him. He kept on throwing and throwing while I just watched him. And while he threw his last stone, I just suddenly heard a crash! We checked to see what had broken. We saw a mirror on the floor. Pieces cracked and scattered but its frame was still there. Looking at the mirror I noticed its metal frame and thought it was beautiful. The frame looked like it was made out of real silver. Silver only the most royal men would wear to honor themselves.
I looked at Derek and just watched him stand there admiring the broken pieces. I sat next to Derek and told him:
-This mirror is like the rich boy, he had everything he ever wanted but just like the mirror, the mirror only has him and his own reflection to love. Just one step for the mirror and crash! The mirrors broken.

Derek just stopped there and looked at me with this confused face.
    I asked him:
-What? Do I have something on my face?
    And he said:
-No, you’re just beautiful as you are.
When he told me that I just turned bright red and very warm. I looked at another direction so he doesn’t notice me but then I saw it was late and it was time to go home. Derek knew it was late and he knew his mom and stepfather would get angry when he got home. So he told me:
-Lu, I think we should get going.
    So I responded:
    -Ok.
We went the same direction to get home and we both saw the moon. I pointed at the moon and told Derek it was beautiful. It was big and full. As we walked home I felt stalked by the moon. It’s like the people in outer space use the moon to watch you, to find something interesting this town would do and then come and destroy it. But sadly Crestmoon, Vermont has nothing interesting to watch.
