• Catherine paces about her room and Alex is sitting cross legged on Catherine's bed. Alex's fox ears twitch as she tries to listen to the conversation downstairs. Catherine curses herself, "I should've been more careful leaving. Dammit!" Alex blinks and her midnight blue eyes sparkle with innocence. " Nii-chan, you should calm down. They only suspect that you are keeping a secret. Its not their fault they think you have an aura of darkness and secrecy." Catherine pulls her long black hair away from her face. "Sigh, I have been having these painful flashbacks. Of the time I frightened my comrades and killed another because of Crusnik. But not only Crusnik but those damn vampires who attacked out of cold blood." Alex listens intently and tries to console her sister. "Look, Nii-chan, just try not to think about it. At any rate you know I am always here to help you with any decision you make." Catherine grasps her cross necklace. "I guess you are right. But regardless I cannot let anyone else suffer from fear because of me."

After the sisters had their little talk, they walk together downstairs. Klaus is lacing up his boots and ask, "Hey I'm going into town to get a few things. Wanna come? Kelly and , God forbid, Wayne is coming along as well." Catherine looks at Alex and then nods her head. They leave the mansion. As they leave, Nate is in a dark room looking out a window at Catherine. He mutters to himself, "You are hiding something. Something dark, but why the secrecy? I hope to find that out soon enough."

The friends walk down the road heading back towards the place they stay. Alex looks up at Klaus and states, "You know, you really didn't have to point your sword at the shopkeeper like that." Klaus thinks about her statement then says in a strange polite manner, "Tsk, its his fault that he kept shoving me an offer I didn't want. Do people nowadays think the word No is a thing of the past?" As they walk down the road they hear a shriek coming from a nearby church. Klaus draws his sword, "C'mon lets check it out!" Wayne flicks his dagger out of it's sheathe. "Exactly what I was thinking." Catherine and Alex hesitate but follow. As they walk down a dark hallway they see dead bodies on the ground. Kelly places her hand over her mouth in horror. Klaus kneels beside one to see the cause. "Hm, two puncture marks on the neck. Vampire!" The keep walking down the hall and wind up in the sanctuary. Wayne looks around in the darkness. "More bodies. I think there is one somewhere." Suddenly a gush of wind comes by and the vampire stands behind Wayne. His fangs protrude from his bloodstained lips. "Heh I'm right here!" The vampire punches Wayne hard. "Very sorry about that but I won't let you interrupt my fun." His dark red hair covers his face and his eyes are an evil red color. Kelly makes a mad dash to the door and the vampire ignores her. Klaus takes his sword and charges at the vampire muttering a saying in German. He intends on decapitating the vampire but he takes his arm and pulls it around his back. Then he shoves him into a wall. Wayne come from behind and intends to stab him the silver dagger but the vampire merely steps aside and Wayne collides with his fallen comrade. Klaus yells at him "You idiot your speed can't match his." But yet Wayne, didn't come up with a smart remark because of the fact that Wayne hit his head hard on the ground as he fell. Catherine stares at the the cold blooded violence the vampire performed. Catherine's eyes turned red and then faded back to blue. She knows she can take care of this vampire and personally send him to Hell. But can she do it in front of her friends? Alex stands in front of her intending on protecting her older sister. The vampire leaves Klaus and Wayne aside and heads toward Alex and Catherine. Alex extends her claws and jumps up and tries to fight him, and she also fails. He takes her arm and breaks it without hesitation. Alex screeches in pain and crumples to the ground clutching her arm. The dark haired vampire slowly walks toward Catherine. He takes her by the neck and lifts her off the ground. "Wow your human friends are so very slow. You can't possibly think to defeat me can you?" The vampire didn't notice the fact that Catherine's eyes reddened again but she was struggling not to show her true side. Klaus strikes the vampire. "Put her down!" He drops her and said, "Whats going to happen if I pick her up again? And how will you stop me?" He slashes Klaus on the back. And he shouts loudly and curses at him. "Thought so," spat the vampire. He takes Klaus and shoves him into the ground and Klaus falls into unconsciousness. The vampire walks up to Catherine, who now stood. Since her friends were both down for the count, she could surely take care of him now. Her eyes reddened and she parted her lips to show her fangs. The vampire finally notices. And feels an emotion he never has before, fear. She looks at him and says, "For all that you have done, hurting my comrades and others. You will surely pay the ultimate price." The vampire takes a step back and Catherine mutters some words he couldn't think to hear them. "What the hell are you? You aren't one of the vampires but not a human either." Out of thin air a black sword appears in her hands. "I am a Crusnik. Lets just say that I am one of your worst nightmares." Catherine takes the sword and stabs the vampire, frozen in fear, in the chest. "It really saddens me that I have to be the one to do this. May you find peace in wherever you go."

Kelly finally reaches the mansion and shoves open the doors. "Nate the others are in a fight with a vampire!" He drops the glass he was holding. "Dammit. Curse them!" He picks up Kelly and runs with all his speed to the place Kelly told him about. When they got there, they find that the vampire is dead and Catherine helping up Alex. Kelly walks by Klaus and starts to heal his wounds. Nate glares at Catherine with his red eyes. Catherine just looks back at him. Nate shakes his head and helps the others. Maybe he does suspect. But yet he would never find out what I am. So why worry about him, Catherine thought.
