• There was this 3 year old named Emma that was always left behind at the adoption center. She didn’t have any friends nor didn’t want any. She would always sit in a corner watching everyone else leave while she was left behind. But one day, someone came in looking for a child and couldn’t find one that was cute and adorable enough, until she saw Emma sitting in a corner as always. After about a couple of hours had passed there was no longer a little girl sitting in a corner by herself she was now in a car on her way to see her new home. Emma was excited but still a little nervous. When they arrived at the house Emma looked at it for awhile wondering what she’s going to do once she gets in, it was huge probably bigger than the adoption center. When she was escorted to the door, once she walked in, her whole life changed and that day was the best day of her life.
Thirteen years had passed. The life Emma had thought was going to be good turned out bad. “Emma, time for breakfast” her mom called out. “Coming” Emma said. While she was coming down the stairs her mom gasped once she saw what she was wearing. “Emma Elizabeth Bradley. What in the hell are you wearing?” Emma looked at her clothes. “What? There’s nothing wrong with what I‘m wearing, besides I don’t have time to go change cause I have to go to school. It’s a new school, new day, more teachers to meet and more people to avoid.” She was heading out the door before her dad woke up, but it was too late and her dad was already coming down the stairs. “Emma” her dad called out. “What are you wearing?” “Dad lets not go through this now. I’ll be late. Bye. Love you both.” She goes out the door and walks to school.
Once she got to school everyone stared at her while she walked through the main doors. Great, she thought. More people staring. As she was trying to find her class someone came up to her an asked, “Need some help finding your classes?” “No thanks I can find them myself” she walks passed him. Before she was late to class she found it. Mrs. Henry’s science class it said on the door. She walks in and sits down in a seat. Once class started Mrs. Henry told Emma to stand up. “Everyone” she looks at her “This is Emma Bradley, she is our new student from” she pauses, “England” Emma said. Everyone looked at her, in amazement. She sits back down and while Mrs. Henry is teaching Emma takes out her journal and starts writing her poetry like always. Two students walk into the classroom. “Jason and Adrian, nice of you to join us. Late as always I see.” Mrs. Henry sits down in her chair and takes out her attendance sheet and marks them late. “Sorry Mrs. Henry. We’ll try not to be late next time.” Jason and Adrian say it at the same time. Emma looks up to see Jason and Adrian, and her eyes turn gold; Jason looks at her and smiles and they sit down in there seats. “Ok, class today’s lesson will be of chemistry. The fire alarm bell rings. “Oh drat, ok class line up.” Emma looks up and puts her journal back into her backpack and the whole class stands and goes into a single line. Emma goes to the back of the line, so no one bothers her. “Emma” Mrs. Henry calls out “Emma come up to the front sweetheart.” Emma rolls her eyes and goes up to the front of the line. God this is so stupid, can’t I be alone? And no one not even my mom calls me sweetheart. She thought. The teacher takes the students to the backfield. While there outside waiting for the principle to announce that they can go back to class. Jason and Adrian go up to the front of the line standing next to Emma. “Wow its cold outside.” Jason says. “Yeah it is.” Adrian says. Emma looks at both of them, then at the ground, starting to gets goose bumps, from being cold outside. Jason looks at Emma. “Not used to this weather are you?” Emma looks at him. “No not really.” “So I hear your last names Bradley. This school has herd of your father. Powerful guy.” Adrian says. “H-he’s not my real... never mind.” Jason puts his arm around Emma. “Don’t worry. Adrian and I will be here if you need anything.” Emma looks up at him and her eyes turn bright blue then she looks down at the ground again. “Th-thanks.” She starts to shiver. Jason takes his jacket off and puts it around Emma. “There now you shouldn’t be so cold.” Someone comes over to Mrs. Henry “Excuse me. Mrs. Henry. Emma Bradley needs to go to the office to get some stuff for gym, ill escort her for you.” “Thank you Brad. Emma I guess you can go now and we can also.” Emma gives Jason his coat back and goes with Brad to the office. Mrs. Henry and the class go back to the classroom. Emma asks, “So why do I have to go to the office?” He doesn’t answer. Once no one can see them Brad pushes Emma up against the wall and puts his hand on her mouth. “You know what I want.”Brad says. She looks at him and tears are going down her face.”I want that stupid fortune of your fathers.” He moves more closely to her and she slaps him across the face and runs into the school and goes to the class, with tears going down her face. When she reaches the classroom she grabs her stuff and starts to leave. “Emma? Where are you going?” Emma looks at Mrs. Henry. “Anywhere but here.” She walks out the door. “Excuse me for a moment class.” Mrs. Henry goes after Emma. “Jason what do you think is wrong?” Jason looks over at her desk and sees that she left something. He stands up and goes over and picks it up and goes back over to his desk and looks at the cover. “Emmy’s Poetry Journal. Hmm, she writes poetry.” He flips through it and the teacher comes back. Jason puts it in his backpack trying not to ruin it. “Well class I guess Emma is going home for the day. Let’s get on with our lesson.” Jason thinks, i should return it to her after school.
