• My head felt like it was splitting in half. That’s what you get for jumping of a cliff, a small voice inside me said harshly. I felt someone probing gently at my skull, pain suddenly shot up into my already hurt head.
“Ouch.” I said blinking up at the person looking down at me.
“Sorry, Cic.” Someone with gentle green eyes said with a small smile.
I tried to recall everything that happened since the jump. Nothing came to my mind…. It was blank!
“Who are you?” I asked, wondering how this unknown man knew me, and why he was calling me Cic.
“Oh crap?” he said suddenly said turning around quickly.
“ABBLE!” The strange man yelled from somewhere to the left of where I was laying.
Another man came in seconds later. He was a tall blonde with dark blue eyes and a pointed face and odd pointed ears much like the other man. He stopped and had a small conversation with the other odd man, every once in a while they would give me a concerned look.
“Hello Cicely, Do you remember me?” He asked calmly, coming up next to me and started to gently probe at the back of my skull.
“Um…. I don’t think so, am I supposed to?” I said sitting up. What was happening, why people with pointed ears were were asking me this!
“Hmmm? I thought so…” Turning to the other guy he said in a kind voice, “It’s ok Samuel… I believe it is amnesia.”
“How is this ok, Abble!? She doesn’t even remember me!” The one called Samuel said angrily.
“Like I said it looks like it is just amnesia. Her memories will probably resurface when something triggers them.” The other presumably, Abble, states calmly.
Samuel looked at me; his green eyes were gentle and sad. Abble turned around slowly so that he was staring at me to.
“Ok Cicely this is really important that you tell us what do you remember?” Abble said his brow furrowing gently.
“Can I ask a question please?” I asked staring up at Samuel and Abble who where now perched on the brown sheets of the bed. Something then caught my eye. It was a branch of a tree? Where we up in a tree, the room looked like it was sturdy?
“Yes, you may.” Samuel answered pulling me back into the room.
“Why do you keep calling me Cicely?” I said cocking my head to the side, in a dog like fashion.
Abble chuckled softly, and answered, “Well that is your name, but then again you wouldn’t remember that would you. Now please try to concentrate and think about anything you might remember, Ok?”
“Kay,” I closed my eyes lightly.
Images suddenly began to flash before my eyes; I spoke as I saw them.
“I’m falling; everything suddenly gets cold. Um then something… wait someone grabs me and things get warmer. That’s when everything gets dark.” I whispered, my hand suddenly become warm, Samuel had placed his long tan fingers on my tiny pale ones.
I blushed at the touch. Samuel smiled happily, and then smirked at Abble.
“See I told you she would remember that part.” Samuel chirped in amusement.
Abble sighed inwardly, “You got me there.” He then turned to me and said calmly, “you need rest Cicely.”
I was about to tell him that I didn’t want to, when I suddenly yawned.
“See so don’t argue!” Samuel said trying hard not to laugh, “We’ll tell you more when you wake up again.”
Without waiting for an answer they both left, the odd thing was that they left without making a noise at all! Stifling another yawn I put my head back on my pillow, something felt really uncomfortable. Reaching under my pillow I came across a small cold object. Pulling it out in front of me, I looked at it on the disappearing light that came from the thatched roof above me. The object was clearly a medallion it was a dark blue and had gold in beautiful spider web prints covering it. Attached to that was a dark blue ribbon, that was dirty and torn in several places.
I tied it around my neck and placed the medallion under my light green chemise. For some odd reason I felt drawn to it. I placed my head back on the pillow and fell into a deep slumber.

When I woke up again, everything was dark. The only noise my ears could pick up was of the wind whistling through the roof. Not only that but I also felt another presence near me. I sat up quickly only to be pushed down again by a firm hand. I stifled a scream.
“I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to wake you!” It was Samuel; I noticed when my eyes adjusted to the light.
“It’s ok.” I said feeling a shiver run through my body.
Samuel suddenly looked around again, before speaking.
“I thought I could maybe jog your memory.” He said looking worriedly around again.
“Um, how are you going to accomplish that?” I asked quietly.
“Well easy, show one of the spots you and I used to go to when you still remembered.” He said with an agile smile.
    “Oh?” I said.
Samuel smiled again and suddenly pulled me up out of the bed.
“Hmm, you’re going to need shoes?” he pondered this and then disappeared out the door.
He reappeared a minute later with some small slippers, “Here put these on.”
I slipped them on quickly, aware of Samuel’s jerky movements. It then suddenly dawned on me; I looked up at him with half the last slipper on my foot.
“You’re not supposed to be here are you?” I asked him with a wide smile.
“Well technicality I was told to get some sleep but then again I did get about an hour of sleep so I don’t think that order applies to me anymore…. What do you think?” Samuel says taking my tiny hand in his big tan hand.
“Um that seems all right to me.” I replied looked at are intertwined hands. It felt like fire was traveling up my arm to the rest of my body.
“Ouch!” Samuel suddenly yelped letting go of my hand quickly
“Did I do that?” I asked looking from my hands to Samuels face.
“Hahahaha you didn’t know you could do that!” Samuel laughed, his face suddenly breaking into a bright smile showing off white teeth that were neatly in two rows.
“Um no,” I said feeling worried.
“Well, hmm here I’ll tell you when we get to the spot!”
With that Samuel pulled me through the wooden door and onto a platform. I gasped in surprise. Small huts were built into the trees and bridges led from platform to platform. The huts were mainly built into the tree, and the parts that weren’t, were covered in leaves making it look very much like part of the tree itself. Ladders lead up to higher levels which also led to more platforms and more bridges. I noticed that the hut I was staying in was in the middle tree, trees surrounded it but they all seemed centered around this one tree. Bridges connected from all sides from the tree’s platform all the way up the tree.
“Yeah it is amazing…. isn’t it?” Samuel said has he started to pull me along on of the bridges.
We walked for about ten minutes it seemed. Before Samuel stopped and opened another hut door. Instead of their being a bed and things it was a spiraling staircase. Torches lit the way all the way down the stairwell
Samuel closed the door and pulled me down the stairs at an alarming pace. When it seemed like I the stairs where never going to end the stairs stopped abruptly. A small bark looking door with a small handle stared at the both of us with a looming look.
Samuel shoved it open quickly and pulled me out. I suddenly let out a sigh; I hadn’t realized that I had been holding my breath. Samuel started to laugh with relief which caused me to start laughing.
“Come on were almost their,” Samuel said still laughing.

Samuel suddenly stopped, “where here!” He cooed happily.
Peering around him I saw the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. Ivy creeped up the side of a giant waterfall, and where the ivy hadn’t already reached the rocks shined like a diamond. Moonflowers reached for the moon with all their might, Anthurium sucked up the mist coming from the waterfall. Acacia along with a few others were spread out among the meadow also enjoying the mist.
    “Wow” I breathed.
“Yep you were the one who found it…. Let me rephrase that. You made this place!” Samuel said looking sad.
“I wish I remembered.” I said walking up to the edge of the bank.
The water showed a reflection of a girl with short fiery red curls. Freckles ran across the bridge of her nose, and bright violet eyes stared glassily back. I stepped back quickly and lost my footing. Samuel saw this coming and caught me. I stared at him, my eyes big.
Samuel chuckled at my expression, “Hmm probably should have had you look at yourself in a mirror.”
“Yeah probably” I accused letting Samuel set me down on the soft meadow grass.
Samuel spread out next to me, letting his hand dip into the water next to him.
“Ok, where to begin….” Samuel said with a small sigh.
“Oh yeah, I know now! Ok are you listening?” Samuel said with a smile.
“Yeah,” I answered excitedly, for once I was getting the answers I always wanted.
“Ok well it all started like this…”
