• It had to be in the middles of a harsh Serbian winter. In the middle of that bitter night, when his mother was in hibernation, Nick was born. The first moments of life was harsh, nearly choked under his mother's fur, the bitter cold flowing into the den, and his hungry stomach eating him up inside. His squeals were shrill and mournful as he begs his mother to wake up. it was in those frustrating 3 days of life nick shape shifts to his human form and bear form repeatedly for the first time. it wasn't suppose to go that way. but that frustration and hunger drove him to do so, nearly ending him right in the spot where he was born. finally, his heavy mother wakes from her hibernation. irritated, but then eases seeing tiny Nick whimpering near a pile of ice in his cub form. the mother shape shifts into her human, finally feeding him. but this trauma forever scared nick into what he will be when he grows.

being a were-bear wasn't easy. one couldn't easily fit into a village, for the normal pple could tell if he or she was one. they were tall, buff, lean, big, and hairy pple.the best resort for a were-bear was to live far away from the human realm. deep in the desert of ice and hallow winds howling, lived the were-bears.bear blood, drives them to live in complete solitude. when the time finally came for Nick to leave the den, he had to learn quick to fight the cold and live off of his mother's limited supply of milk. it was a harsh snowy, ice experience. but he tenaciously pushed through each day, determined, the bear blood driving him to live. he learned to run in his bear form constantly, never daring to change into human at any cost, for he will immediately freeze to death. he rarely said or grunted a sound. too much energy to do so in this icy realm he had to see as home.

one faithful day, in the large city of Moscow, a hunt was announced, the hunt for super natural creatures of the land. a hunt for anything were-....
prices went richer as the size of the animal was. hunt down a were-fox...10 silver
    hunt down a were-wolf...10 gold
hunt down a were-bear... 50 gold. hunters strove for the bear species. turning nick's deadly home into a pure hell hole. there came to the point where he was his mother fall under the simple yet dreaded trap, bear trap. it was so simple...yet nick couldn't understand how his own mother fell. she froze and bled to death, nick surviving off of her blood and freezing flesh. wretched in disgust but he had no other choice. with her dead and him only 5, he was also a dead bear. finally his bear blood drove him to move on...but not in the right direction but into the hands of hunters. he was such an easy target, surely such a young bear could be made into something useful. it was settled. nick spent the rest of his 5 year old life in a rusty cage, before a crowd of bidders. his handler provoking him to shape shift for show. those were tiring evenings. finally a bidder called out 1 billion in gold the crowd hushed and the auction was over for the bear child. nick went into the hands of the man. his only gift was a leather leash and a pair of shorts to wear when he was in his human form.
when nick first stepped into the arena he was only 7. the last two years were spent in a cell b4 his handler who bought him from the mayhem of yells and dirk stabbing. this was more intense, worse. all the attention was on him. attack this dummy, repeat the set again! shape shift again! hours of training to get into a coop fight... it was when he was 7 he killed his first creature, a feral dog. his master warned him, if u change human in the fight i swear to ypu i wont rescue u from the mob when they see the animals u r! fear drove nick to kill in those battles, along with rage and crushed innocence. as he grew older the enemies became bigger, and meaner. no more animals...the enemy then were were-animals...each determined to live another night. but nick was even more determined, like when he was 5 in the Serbian winters. this life of carnage and greed went on till he was 13. at that age he wasn't only growing physically but his will of independence was too.he spent his fight less mornings at the corner of his cell, learning of himself, finally hearing his voice and planning a life outside the rings. he was a were-bear. not a cub any more. he can easily kill his handler and be on a move with his own life. but that sweet revenge didn't come at all...on his final fight, his handler died at the hands of dirk stab. nick wasn't free yet, there was a mob of men wanting him and his strength. he couldn't lash out at his owner, so he did on the mob, mass murdering for his lost childhood.
he heard of short tales of a free land from dying enemies, how they longed to be on a land called "America". America he vowed was where he will go.
finally, at the age of 16, he made his way across the vast ocean in cargo and found a life. attending a school for the first time, testing his skills, and finally getting accepted who he was, a were-bear among a strange group of allies (a witch, a priestess, a feral child, an incubus and a spell-caster)
