• Dark, damp.
    Cold, hot.
These were the first things that came to my mind when my consiousness came back to me. There was a hint of wet things all over the room, all around my body. I tried to move my arms, to take off this thing on my eyes, but I couldn't.
Fire burned through my veins, in a pain almost so intense that I could claw at my skin untill it bled deep, just to make the pain stop, or to change it.
But it burned intensely, so intense that I couldn't even think the idea of moving an inch of my arms or legs.
There was something holding down my right hand. Hot or cold, I couldn't tell. The tempurature in my body kept on changing.
If I was on something soft or hard was hard to tell too. It felt like one moment I was laying on fire, and another moment on ice.
But I could smell again. There was a sweet smell next to me, sort of like honey, but sweeter. It had some of my attention, untill my mind registered a compelling, irresistable aroma. I couldn't begin to describe it, it was so intriguing. I pain all but one piece of my mind to it.
Slowly my hearing cleared up after that, and I could hear slight whispers in the room.
"Will this be any longer?" A rough female voice asked.
Someone sighed, and I could feel it next to me. "Kanika, if you shall not be patient, you may leave. Anyone else who is growing the same as Kanika may leave."
"Fine." There was the light whisper of feet brushing slightly against the floor as they left the room, and a heavy wooden door closing.
My breath started to come in slightly deeper, and I inhaled nothing but the sweet honey smell now. I wanted to wake up, to get up and try to see where I was, but the fire kept me down. I couldn't remember anything.
Nothing, except for these moments since I came concious.
The fire started to slow, fading off slowly. It never really left, but it felt better now. My right index finger twitched.
"She's ready." Someone whispered, and I believe it was not the one next to me.
I slowly lifted my left hand to my face, and held it on my forehead as I slowly sat up. I removed the cloth from my eyes.
There was a bright light nearby, so I had to cover my eyes with both hands a moment, slowly adjusting my eyes to the bright light.
Once that was done I looked around, for the source of the sweet honey smell. All I could see was Hiroshi there, and so I tried sniffing the air a moment.
    Yeah, it was him.
"Someone tell me why the hell I remember nothing." Was that my voice?
It sounded like bells and singing, so graceful. The fire in my veins didn't fade anymore. It was just less intense.
"Come see for yourself. I'm sure Kanika won't mind you using her mirror." He took my hand and helped me off the little cot. He led me to a smaller door than the one I had heard, and opened it to show a highly decorated room, with a wall length mirror that extended to the floor and ceiling.
He pointed to the figure in the reflection, and stepped aside.
    I turned to the mirror.
    Who the hell was this?
This must not be me. I know I used to be shorter, rounder - I wasn't fat, but I didn't have this figure. My hair used to be shorter, and my face less accented and my skin paler.
But the woman - calling the figure in the mirror a woman was wrong, she looked more like a goddess - was not like that.
She had thigh length red hair with golden red eyes and light coffee cream skin, her face perfect in every angle. She had a shape that was like an hourglass, tall and wearing a strapless red dress that held her figure to the precise angle, that extended to her feet and went in wavelike features from her waist to her feet. She had a dark red six pointed star on her forehead with a light yellow sun and pale blue moon colliding under that star. There were spiraling tattoo's going around her eyes, down her face and down her neck, shoulders, arms and back.
She looked like a goddess straight out of a fantasy. This couldn't be me.
"It is." He came to stand beside me again. "The girl before was fragile, afraid. When we brought you here you were like that. After we asked for your help you started to change on us. The change means that the real warrior behind the weak little girl had to emerge. You being the Dark Vampire is that you are one of the most powerful - wait, you are - the most powerful goddess in history. You can control all six elements, and cane be pure or evil."
    I nodded.
"And so the entire Vampire race has been searching for you for over a millenia. It was only pure luck that I found you here." He looked around. "Come, the others need to meet with you now that you have completed the change."
    He led me out.
"What are the six elements? I thought there was only Fire, Wind, Water and Earth."
"There is also Darkness, of which you can use in any way imaginable. The last one is Soul, which has amazing abilities."
We walked through a glass door into a highly decorated living room. There were expensive leather couches and glass tables, with a plasma LCD tv taking up half a wall. There was more, but I couldn't identify them. The room was a dark red black, with dark orange pillars supporting the weight of the ceiling.
There was a couple of people sitting in the couches, watching the tv. One muted the sound and they all turned to us.
"Well, you wanted my help. What the hell you need help with?" I asked, crossing my arms and watching them in turn.
A blond Vampire whispered in the ear of the one next to her.
"And I thought she would have a better attitude." They laughed in whispers.
"Kanika, don't talk and keep your ******** mouth shut." I looked her way, watching my words take effect on her. She flinched, and straighened up.
"Sorry Crimson, but thinking since you were so powerful, I thought you would be a goody two shoes or something like that."
I nodded, and turned to the one who looked like the head Vamp.
"So, what do you need help with?"
They grew silent once more, looking at their boss - or whatever you wanted to call him.
"Plenty. But first, I am Julien." He bowed his head, then looked at his followers. "Go on."
"Matice." A black haired male Vamp - the one next to Kanika - said, smiling and bowing his head.
"Kanika, obviously. How did you know my name?" She asked. I pointed a thumb to Hiroshi.
"Heard him tell you to leave."
"Oh." She laughed. "Welcome anyways." She bowed her head as well.
"Perania." A red haired female said, bowing her head.
"Galon." This time a brown haired male bowed his head with both hands over his chest.
"Danielle." A little blondie bowed her head in a slow movement.
"Hiroshi, obviously." He bowed his head next to me, and I laughed.
    I turned to Julien, waiting.
    He sighed.
"The Vampire populace is dissimating, a grand war of the clans is underway. You were the key the entire time, but no one knew where you were. We have lost plenty, this clan used to be thousands. You are our only hope."
I sighed. A war. Just what I needed in my life.
    "You good, or bad?"
"We all swore to being pure and never harming a human soul."
"And what do you want me to do?"
    This time Kanika answered.
"Help us survive this rediculous war. You need much training with your powers and skills, but that is what the guy beside you is there for."
    "Okay, I'll help. One question."
    They all watched me.
    "When do we begin?"
