• It was midnight. Aislinn stood expectantly on a hill, silhouetted against the moon. She was waiting to find the man who had called and told her to meet him here the night before. Cherry blossoms blew in the cool night breeze and brushed Aislinn's face as she awaited her destiny.

Aislinn glimpsed some movement out of the corner of her eye. She turned and saw a shadow leaning against the cherry tree. He stepped out into the moonlight and revealed his true identity--Adrian, the hottest guy in high school. Aislinn felt her blood rushing up to her face. What could Adrian possibly want with her?

Adrian moved toward Aislinn and stood next to her, his soothing warmth radiating off his body. He reached into his coat pocket and brought out a cherry blossom; the most beautiful and fragrant blossom Aislinn had ever seen. He reached out and pinned it in her hair, slowly and gently so as not to startle her. Aislinn stood in shock, unable to react. Why him? Why her? Why this?

Adrian stared intensely into Aislinn's eyes, making her heart pound so hard, she was sure he could hear it. He leaned forward and kissed her lips. They were soft and warm, making Aislinn feel ilke her legs would give out from underneath her. It was the best kiss she had ever experienced.

Adrian broke the kiss after what seemed like forever, but was most likely only a few seconds. "I love you," he whispered into her ear, then was gone, blending back into the shadows. Aislinn still stood where she had been before, unable to move. He loves me..., she thought with astonishment. He really loves me... She promptly fell over and fainted.
