• Prologue

Laying on the grass, watching the sky change from night to dawn, young Tibbot Peyton lay beside the one person he would die for. Felicity Morgan. In his mind, the most flawless, beautiful, and kindhearted person in our world.
His hand grasped hers, as he realized their time was coming to an end. Turning his head, he looked at her profile. He was still speechless, despite the fact they had been dating for more than five months. All he wanted to hold her, and for her to hold him.
As Felicity turned to her beloved Tibbot, she smiled her crooked smile at him as she acquired their eyes had met.
"Tibb," She said, using her petty nickname for him.
"Yes?" Tibbot asked happily, watching her speckled eyes turn from blissful, to lonely.
Time to go. He thought, the depression of his days without her kicking in.
"I have to go," She said, approving his thought and glancing at their intertwined fingers at their sides.
Tibbot nodded glumly. He sat up, pulling her with him. He embraced her, folding his arms around her waist. Felicity followed, hugging his shoulders. Their faces were just inches away. The closed that distance.
The kissed like lovers departing, which was what they were.
It lasted seconds, before the brown-haired girl ended it.
She had a wide smile on her lips. Tibbot opened his mouth, but she put her finger to his lips. She pulled out of his grasp silently.
The sandy-maned boy watched her leave in sadness, although the moment before had been so perfect. He wanted to call a farewell, but he felt that would just ruin it.
He stood when she disappeared behind a cluster of large trees, sighing. He stretched, and looked at the sky. It was becoming a light lavender, including bright orange, and yellow. But only around the edges, it got darker as it got higher.
"Goodbye." He said to the sky, as if it was his dear Felicity.
He started walking towards his home, but immediately froze as he heard the noise that would ruin his life.
A bloodcurdling scream was heard from where Felicity had just exited.

    Chapter One

Waking slowly, feeling the burning pain all over my body.
    What is this?I thought desperately.
I tried to speak, but I could barely open my mouth. My eyes were partially opened, I could tell there were white-coated men and women rushing around. No, only one. And he was standing beside me. There was a curtain beside me, where I could faintly see the outline of other doctors.
    Doctors? I questioned myself silently.
My eyes slowly widening to a normal extent, the doctor ended up noticing me.
"Ah, awake I see?" He said, as if a question. As if he was wondering whether it was true.
"Uhn..." Was all I could manage to grunt through my paralyzed lips.
The doctor smiled. Why was he smiling? This wasn't a smiling matter.
I glared as best I could, but I could tell it seemed weak, as if I was tired, half-closing my eyes again. I sighed, it came out like a pained sound, like a whimper. Damn. Nothing worked properly in this stupid place.
Noticing a name tag, I tried to read it. My vision was blurry. I couldn't remember why.
'Doctor Rudder' was all I could decipher, after almost a minute. Now I knew how dyslexics must feel.
I would have laughed, if I could have. Doctor Rudder? What a hilarious name.
He noticed my struggled smile, and my glance aimed at his name tag. He looked down at it.
"Yes, not a normal name, is it?" He said, raising one eyebrow. b*****d. Show off. Why was he doing so many things he probably knew I couldn't? Weren't doctors supposed to try and make you feel better?
Doctor Rudder picked up a clipboard. He skimmed down the page, then turned to the second, lifting the first page over the top of the wooden board.
"Well, Felicity Masters," He said, squinting at the paper, as if his glasses has gone missing and now was when he regretted not looking further for them.
"Welcome to Redwood Hospital," He said proudly, setting down his clipboard.
