• Chapter 10 part3: A flood of memories from a forgotten day


    As kin swung his sword a beam of light lit up the room and took the shape of a cat with paws out stretched and nails showing, it lunged toward master radion and slowly dissipated as it came closer, radion’s cosmic shield had once again blocked kin’s attack.
    “Damn it!” cried out kin in frustration “that damn barrier is in the way!” he said to him self “how can I destroy it?” master radion looked down at him and laughed “you are not so bright boy!” he said his voice like thunder “your powers are no mach for mine! This will end soon” he said “fall in to the void of darkness!” a dark mist like substance began to cascade across the ballroom floor up to kin’s feet where it slowly traveled up kin’s legs trying to devour the rest of kin’s body. “W-what N-no!!!!” kin screamed desperately trying to break free from the black mist-like substance. “Since your going to die” said master radion “I should tell you what happened the day your city fell” he chuckled as he watched kin struggle desperately “I destroyed it!!!...I destroyed it because I wanted the city of usagi to be the bigger and the better of the two cities! But your father would not allow it…so I destroyed it using a god-like move called super nova!” He told kin with a laugh “the super nova takes many years to master, but I did it!” he said “and I leveled the city of mika with a single blow!” master radion began to laugh uncontrollably …just then kin’s eyes snapped wide open! He had just remembered that day…the day the city fell! He remembered that before his home was destroyed, he had been sitting on the couch with his mother and little sister and that they had been watching something on the television when his father came running franticly in to the room, “we must find shelter!” he said and with out another word he led the family into the basement. “We should be safe here” he told them as they sat down “daddy what’s happening” asked kin’s little sister…but before her father could answer her the whole place collapsed on top of them. When kin had awoken a few minuets later he found himself face to face with his father who had used his body to protect him, ”f-father a-are you all right?” he asked, kin’s father mamoru looked up at his sons battered face and could feel the life slowly darning out of him.. “Son” he said to kin in a week voice “there is something I must tell you” “what!” said kin franticly “what is it dad?” kin’s voice was becoming shaky as he continued to ask his dad the same question over and over again; but his father was never able to answer him, he died before he could tell his son that he was the reincarnation of the moon gods first son and adversary azu hoshi…just as his memory ended kin’s mind came back to him and he remembered he was still in battle with master radion and that his body was slowly being devoured by darkness…and that also was when kin realized that the darkness was winning, his yellow eyes went dark and he could no longer move any part of his body, all he could do was listen as master radion laughed manically…the same evil laughter he heard the day his city was destroyed….
