• Watching over such a bright, lively place, with smiles that always exceeded circumstances, I never knew the dark side of the 'Earth', or maybe They never let me know what was really happening.

I walked hand in hand with a little girl, only five or so. Brown hair, large blue eyes, though they never opened. She was blind. She has been ever since her parents died in the car accident, ever since she saw their bodies lay scarred with eyes wide open. I have never known her personally until now, but I do know her, because, I am a reaper.

We walked up the steps that led to Articullus's palace, a place that should never be seen by any other except Articullus and the Labels we lead inside. The stone door opened just a crack, and a small beady black eye shown through.

"Who be bringin the Label?" an already graspy voice whispered. The voice belongs to Articullus's pet Nedsa. Nedsa is a human that tried to be God,and this is his punishment. To forever serve under Articullus. This is a warning towards all reapers and humans alike.

The little girl's hand trembled in mine. She gulped, and asked, "Where are we?" she gasped, "This is an evil place, we must leave, or else-" the little girl fainted. Nedsa had used the usual sedative. Nedsa picked up the girl's leg while souless body picked up her from the shoulders. They walked in and quickly shutting the door, closing me from whatever may lay inside, whatever they keeps from us.

I skipped back down the steps, and highfived a co-worker bringing in an old man that looked ready to die. I walked along and went to the assignment center. An assignment center is the place where I found out if a person is a Label or not, and if they are, drag them back here.

The stone hallways are home, where I am truly comfortable. The small rugs that attempt to make this place look cheerful, the grand vases said to be Articullus's work. But that's just Reaper gossip, of course.

I wandered my way into the assignment center, and sat down in Jalud's chair. Jalud is my best friend, ever since, well.. forever, I guess.

    "So...Dull, how you been doing?"

Dull patted my head and said, "Would you please stop calling me that? And Doll, a new outfit please!" I call him Dull as a parody of what he calls me, "Doll". I looked down at my comfortable wet suit. Nothing wrong with a nice suit to look cool, right? I see it in 'Earth's' Ninja and Spy movies all the time.

"So you still hung up on that Ludwig kid?" I leaned back, and crossed my legs in a lazy fashion. If you're wondering, Dull is a guy, and also, he's gay. When he told me, I liked him even more for being proud of who he is. He's any guy a girl could ask for, but sorry girls, look somewhere else.

"Yeah...he hasn't come back yet, no one ever comes back from Articullus..." he drawled on.

I patted his back and said, " He'll come back!" I grinned, "If it's you, of course he will. You're more gorgeous then you'll ever know." He had black hair and blue eyes, very much in contrast. And man, was he built too!

Unlike me, an unordinarily tall enternally 17 year old girl, right? I have straight brown hair, and crimson eyes. Don't ask me why, they just are. I'm as pale as chalk, and trust me, I've tried tanning. I just get burnt. Everyone calls me Lovely, because of this, I just go along with it, I guess.

He sighed, and his eyes widened, he pushed me out of his chair, and I fell to the ground.

"Hey!" I shouted, "What was that for?!" I then saw, our superiors were staring straight at us. I slowly stood up while Dull was typing away at his keyboard. A couple seconds later, he pushed a document at me.

I walked out of the room, straight as a board, while Whiny, Itchy, and Drunkard were glaring at me. For clarification, Whiny is the short, bearded, always complaining one of the three.
Itchy is the one that always takes forever in making decisions, and always scratches his head. Drunkard is well...always drunk, never seen him without some alchohol import from 'Earth' in his grubby hand. They're triplets, always keeping to themselves, and always telling the big guy if we mess up or play around.

Hmm. The next Label to be is a boy in his late teens. He's an ordinary, every day guy. Not like all the tragic struck Labels we always get. This might just be fun for a change. Hmm. His name is Kei Season. He has been in Soccer since the thrid grade, and has not had one crush in his short lifetime. He likes the beach, and dislikes his father for an unknown reason. His father seems like a ordinary guy, not really any reason to hate him.

I read on, skipping a couple of unimportant details. Dislikes conflict..blah blah blah... loves puzzles...blah blah blah. Whatever, time to observe him.

I power walked over to the observatory, where we observe 'Earth' not the constellations we live in. Kind of funny, hmm?

Anyways, I looked down into his home. He lay there on his mattress, looking at the wall to the right of his bed. He looked wary, like everything is what he knows, boring. He was pretty,
in a girly kind of way, so not my type.

Blond hair and bright green eyes, sorta pixie like, right? I zoomed in to see him tightly holding onto his bright red comfortor, like he was gripping at something not of this world...
I couldn't help but zoom in more.

Kei's eyes widened, and he quickly flipped over, to face his left side, but in the one second he took to do so, he looked straight up, right at me, he was glaring. He pulled the comfortor over himself, and stuck out a hand on the side of the bed. There his hand started moving. ...Sign Language. S...T?...A...Y... O...U...T...? Stay out. He could see me. He was still moving his hand, but that's all I could translate, from the state of shock I was in.
