• I stretched out my arms and left with a gleaming smile. I had taken note that Athena had not challenged me. The water gleamed as it carried me away from the awed gods and goddesses. As soon as I reached dry land, I allowed the water to slip from my control and the same solid dark matter carried me away as I looked back at the gods who whispered with worried looks on their faces.

I was unable to resist, so I turned the corner and listened through the shadows. I heard the whisper of my mother first, "I do not believe what you say to possibly be true. I understand she is more powerful, but... she will not be able to overthrow us like how we overthrew the Titans... can she?"

Posiedon's whisper came next, "I do not know. But we shouldn't risk it, she is a powerful Demigod, that is for sure, but perhaps a little too powerful..."

They all hushed and Zeus spoke with definance in his voice, "What are we to do? To offer her a spot as a god? To rule by her mother's side? No. She is already a Hunter." "Not yet," the rest spoke. But, being Zeus, he only heard his voice and he continued on, "Elimination if required, but this dear child... a child we all love as our own... Artemis is lucky to have her, but I don't believe she would turn... she wouldn't and can't. We are able to stop her, all of us combined..."

I knew what they were all thinking. They seemed so scared, so fragile, so unaware of my presence, until I saw my mom look into the shadow I was listening into, so I quickly tuned out, and allowed my solid dark matter to carry me away, with the words so unspoken, but so obviously thought, rang through my head, "I hope."
