• John and I first met at a small concert. I noticed how John was in a band he started called the Quarrymen, I don't honestly know how John had seen me. Anyways, I was playing the guitar when he walked around. I didn't notice he was listening until I looked up at the end of the song I wrote. He asked

"How long have you been playing?"

I answered "I don't know, a while." At the time I had been playing for a while, my father was a musician too. My mother had always supported me before she died.

    He introduced himself,

    "I'm Lennon, John Lennon."

    "I'm Paul McCartney."

    "Nice to meet you."

    "Same."

"Hey, we have a band, The Quarrymen." "You want to join?"

    "Sure."

    "You sing?"

"I've never tried it, but here." I sang something for him and he said

    "That was bloody brilliant."

"Thanks." Who are the members?"I asked. Lennon said,

"Eric Griffiths, Pete Shotton, Bill Smith, Stuart Sutcliffe, Ken Brown, and myself."

"I have a friend, George, who can also play."

    "Let's meet him" He said.

    "Aye, George!" I yelled.

    A man answered, "Yeah!"

I yelled back, "C'mon up here!"

A couple seconds later a short man with short, brown hair appeared. " Whatt'ya need?" He said.

"I want you to meet a guy from a band."

    "I'm John Lennon"

    "I'm George Harrison."

    "So you play?"

    "I play guitar." George said.

    I wispered, "Just play."

He played a song that not many people knew, including myself.

"Wow, that's great." Lennon said. "You're in."

    "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow."

    "Bye."

    ''Tomorrow then."

So we played a couple shows for about 3 years.

Lennon said "We should start our own band."

    I asked "Like what?"

George said "How about The Silver Beetles?"

I said" How about The Beetles?"

John said "How about The Beatles with an a."

George said "We'd need a drummer."

"Lets go to Hamburg." John said.

    "All right!" We both yelled.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was there that we met drummer, Pete Best.

"Hey, look at him." I said

    Lennon said 'He's pretty good.

We then approached Best. "Hey!" Lennon said.

"Um, who are you guys?" He said.

    "I'm John Lennon."

    "I'm Paul McCartney."

    "I'm George Harrison."

"What can I do for you guys?" Best said.

"You wanna be in a band?" We asked.

    "Sure!"

We then had the four of us. We played a couple of shows, but now we wanted to be noticed so we went to a couple of people, all of hich turned us down. We decided to try once more. We went to a man named George Martin who decided to try us out. He also didn't like Pete. He said, "Get rid of Best."

    We all said "What?"

"I don't think he is the right "bang" for the Beatles."

    "Oh. Okay."

Pete didn't take it well. "Why the bloody hell are you kicking me out!?"

"Well we don't think you are right for this band, Pete."

"Don't ever ask me to come back!"

    "Fine."

    "Fine!"

We needed to find a drummer so we went back to Hamburg. This is where we saw Richard Starkey. Everyone liked to call him Ringo Starr. He was an amazing drummer so we asked him to join. He accepted. We then went back to Mr. Martin. He loved Ringo. We started recording the next day. Here is our first song:

Ain't She Sweet - The Beatles.

    Oh ain't she sweet,
Well see her walking down that street.
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
    Ain't she sweet?

    Oh ain't she nice,
Well look her over once or twice.
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
    Ain't she nice?

    Just cast an eye
    In her direction.
    Oh me oh my,
    Ain't that perfection?

    Oh I repeat
Well don't you think that's kind of neat?
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
    Ain't she sweet?

    Oh ain't she sweet,
Well see her walking down that street.
Well I ask you very confidentially:
    Ain't she sweet?

    Oh ain't that nice,
Well look it over once or twice.
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
    Ain't she nice?

    Just cast an eye
    In her direction.
    Oh me oh my,
    Ain't that perfection?

    Oh I repeat
Well don't you think that's kind of neat?
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
    Ain't she sweet?

    Oh ain't she sweet,
Well see her walking down that street.
Well I ask you very confidentially:
