• I walked inside the school and shut the door behind me, tapping the dirt off my shoes as I stood. I shook the rain out of my hair when I heard a small voice.

    “Um, excuse me.”

I looked up to see a young girl standing behind a desk. She had dark brown spiky hair, green eyes, and a blushing face. She was wearing a suit with a bowtie, and a little nameplate on her desk read “Tomo Fukui”.

“My name is Tomo Fukui, but you can call me ‘Tomo-chan‘,” she glanced at my book-bag and blinked twice in curiosity. “Would you be Haru Kiyoshi? I heard that a new student would be coming today.” Tomo-chan asked with a smile. I bowed a greeting.

“Yes, that’s me.” I pulled out a little slip of paper from my pocket. “I think I have room 219, right?” I asked.

Tomo-chan shuffled around some papers on her desk and paused for a moment. She looked back at me and nodded. “That’s right. You’re to share a room with a student named ‘Taro Saito’. Here’s your key.” she said, handing me a key that read ‘Room 219’.

‘Hm…Taro Saito. I wonder just what kind of person he is?’ I thought to myself, examining the key.

“You’re probably wondering exactly where your room is, huh?” Tomo-chan asked. “First of all, I should probably show you around so you don’t get lost. This is a pretty big school, after all. Come on.” Tomo-chan offered, and motioned me to wherever she was walking. I followed.

As Tomo-chan showed me around the school, she explained how everything works around here.

“All of the classes are on the bottom floor, along with the cafeteria, the library, the gymnasium, and the nurse’s office too. The top floor is strictly for the dorm rooms. The dorm rooms include a bath, two futons, a t.v., and a table. Classes start at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.” and that was the basics of what she told me. It seemed easy enough.

After Tomo-chan had showed me to my room, I told her I could take it from there, and she went back to her desk.

I stared up at the wooden door that read ‘Room 219’. ‘So this is where I’ll be staying for awhile, huh?’ I thought to myself.

I reached for the door handle, but it turned on it’s own, and the door flung open and smacked me in the face. A high-pitched ringing rang through my ears, and I became dizzy, and fell into unconsciousness.

    To be continued…
