• The night was shrouded with almost pitch-blackness. A heavy rain shower doused the mountainous landscape. I lay motionless a few feet away from the edge of a cliff, for reasons still unknown to me. I opened my eyes and struggled against laziness to reach my feet. I groaned a bit from clear exhaustion. I looked into a small puddle of water and saw my reflection. At least, I think it was mine. I didn't really remember having BLUE hair or a crazy alien mask at any given point in my life. I held my hands to my head in shock, only to discover that they had somehow been swapped out for hard steel automail arms. If I wasn't so scared, I'd be having an otaku moment right now. I raised my head to the sky and yelled. "What the hell is going on!?!?!?" Suddenly, a mixture of warcries, roars, gunshots, and clashing steel rang in my ears. I went to the edge of the cliff to take a look, and couldn't believe my eyes. I had stumbled onto what appeared to be an epic conflict between two huge armies. On one side of the large canyon below, a massive horde of demonic, shadow-looking beasts, and on the other side, a huge crowd of humans (and others), armed with whatever kind of weapons they got their hands on. The leader of the humanoid forces, a young, beautiful female, reminded me of my girlfriend Star's avatar on Gaia Online. I had no clue what the hell was happening, but I knew I was gonna find out soon.
