• I entered the gates of the castle he was staying in. my body protested with every step I took. I had been traveling non-stop on foot for a week since I had found out. Found that he was being kept here for something he wasn’t. no. hes not a monster. I walked into the keep to find myself face to face with the general who was notorious for being cruel to anyone who came under his wing.
“well well well..if it isn’t the kingdoms favorite princess.” He stood up, and gave me a mock salute
“im the only princess general. And I could have you executed for insubordination.” I growled
“oh no! not you. Not the one who supposedly is soft-hearted and cant stand to hurt a thing. Pah! You royals make me sick. All I think you are is a stuck up, snobbish little brat who’s fallen in love with a demon.”
I closed my fists at my sides and tried not to think about what he said. I didn’t want to hurt him. I think.
“as usual, thinking is not your strong point. General. Now please let me in the holding room.” I said through clenched teeth
The general looked at me suspiciously, taking in my plain attire. “and just what do you think your going to be doing in there, princess?” he spat out in contempt
My patience left me at this point. I hadn’t seen him in 5 months and here comes this general who thinks that he can just stand in my way? Wrong. Dead wrong. I caught him by his stained uniform and slammed him into the wall. “now.” I said slowly. “either you let me in there without any of your crap. or-“
“or what? Your going to tattle to your daddy?” the general squeaked, not so gung-ho now.
I smiled and walked calmly over to the window, dragging him behind me.
“what are you doing?!” he demanded, still obnoxious. I held him out the window, right above the sharp fence.
“hey! Put me down!” he screamed while the patrolling guards looked up at the spectacle and started to snicker at the sight of their superior hanging from my hand and screaming like a girl.
“you really want me to do that?” I asked, giving him the most evil smile I could muster.
The general glanced below him and looked at me, now scared.
“I’ll do it! I will! Just..bring me back in!” he yelled
“listening now are we? Well,do I hear a please?” I asked, inching him closer to the points of the fence
    “PLEASE! PLEASE!” he screamed
The soldiers were now in full guffaw mode, all laughing and rolling on the trimmed grass of the courtyard.
“as you wish.” I said as I deposited him on the floor. Roughly.
“oof!” he said as he landed on the stone floor. I squatted down to his eye level and scrutinized his eyes. There was real fear there now.
“now. What I want?” I asked nicely. He opened his mouth to comment but seemed to change his mind when I gave him a glare.
“assistant!” he roared. A man walked in with a smirk on his face and grass in his hair. he had obviously joined in the groups little laughfest.
"general sir!" the assistant gave a salute to the person on the floor.
"please escort our princess to the demons holding cell." he commanded
the man's face puckered, "but sir, he's going mad right now. we cant let her in there."
distracted by the general once again calling him "demon" i made my manner brusque, "i dont care. general, i promise you that if im not i there in 5 minutes, im going to personally hang you by your feet from the roof!"
"just let her in with the darn demon already!" the general shouted
"a-alright sir." the assistant stammered as he took a set of keys from a hook beside the door.
as the nervous man led me down the dark hallways, i couldnt help thinking. what if he really had gone mad? or worse. what if he forgot me already? would i be able to stand that? we approached a reinforced door where two buff guards with swords as big as my arm stood.
"the princess is going in. by order of the general you are to let her." the assistant announced, clearly uncomfortable.
the guards looked at me and shrugged as they opened the door slowly. as i stepped in i could hear one of them snickering.
"we'll check in on you in an hour you majesty...if your still i one piece." his voice echoed on the cold steel walls as i found myself going down a staircase. i ignored the rib and continued, my pace getting faster as i went farther. i was almost there, i could feel his presence again. as i came to the bottom of the staircase, i was faced with a dark as thick as ink. only it wasnt completely dark. my eyes adjusted to the darkness and i noticed a form about fifteen feet away from me. i was shaking in my boots. what had they done to him? in front of me was his wolf form, eyeing me like prey.
