• Chapter 16 Battle Rages

Marco-kun and the other's had great timing. Meia-san looked at them then back at me. I smirked and nodded. As if to say they were on our side. She nodded back and the 5 of us stood in a line. Facing down Jonuku and company. Jonuku's usual smirk had long since faded. He raised his hand slowly. He thrust his palm towards us, causing a massive ripple throughout the area. The quake quelled shortly after. And just as we were about to question, several thousand hands jutted from the ground. All of which were foot solders, La~Raku. I gritted my teeth and tightened the grip of my sword. My fire red eyes now cold and piercing. Jonuku's smirk returned to his fang filled mouth. He looked down at us from the top of his pillar. The other two joining him.

“Have fun kiddies,” he said before they vanished. Mino threw 3 smoke pellets, creating a smokescreen to mask their escape.

    “Wai-” Kira-san started.

“Save it. We have other matters to tend to. One rule. Don't die!” I shouted looking back at the others. They nodded and I faced the hoard of 1000 + La~Raku. “Ikkuzu/ Lets Go!” I shouted. The five of us split off and the fight began. I roared running, picking up speed. My wings spread and I now skimmed along the ground. My wings flapped once or twice then folded tightly to my body. I roared as I spread my wings and started my attack. Swift and clean slashes through several La~Raku. I spread my wings fully, like a parachute I screeched to a halt. Letting them swarm me. I touched my blade, running my hand down it. Setting it ablaze. My eyes focused as I started hacking and slashing through the group. My blade piercing flesh and cutting through solid bone. With a quick movement, I raised my blade above me and spun it in my palm. With great force I thrust it into the ground. Creating a massive dome that radiated outward from my blade. Burning every enemy in its path. I snarled and pulled my blade from the ground. My grip tight as I charged again.

Marco-kun was just getting started. He drew both his Katanas as he was circled by his own little slice of hell that we call La~Raku. He held his blades tightly and looked at the circling, hungry demons. One got impatient and lunged. Instantly hacked to ribbons in a matter of seconds. Electricity tinged from Marco-kun's swords and he decided to take the fight to them. He crouched down and darted at a blinding speed. His sword swings flawless and untraceable. He reappeared on the other side of 5 of them. They turned just in time for their heads to fly from their bodies. Marco-kun smirked and ran a strong current through his blades. He slashed 3 times, 2 diagonal swings, then a double overhead swing. Launching 3 electrical blasts. He smirked and sheathed his blades as more gathered around him. His smile grew wide as he let his wolf instincts start to take hold. His pupils narrowed to slits and his nails grew into long claws. He smirked and snarled as the La~Raku charged him. He dropped to all fours and rushed them. Plowing into one of them with a shoulder rush. He rolled off his chest and grabbed his head. Throwing it and smashing it into another's head. He smiled and looked back, thrusting his claws into the ground. His cloths changed drastically. He went into split fire form. His left claw charged fire and his right lightning. He roared like thunder and slashed his claws upward. Creating a helix of fire and lighting. The maelstrom annihilated anything in its wake. He stood up and drew his blades once more. Charging the next group.

Meia-san was a destructive force to be feared. Her pinpoint accuracy was something snipers with powerful scoops would only dream of. Her arrows were too numerous to count. And the victims were just as many. Another wave attacked her from behind. With her bow gripped tightly in her hand, she used it as a Bo staff. Swinging clubbing blows to any and all that came her way. She smirked and drew an arrow. Smashing it into a La~Raku's eye. Instantly killing the beasts. She stepped into him and wrapped the bow around his head with the string drawn. Holding the arrow with the string she released it. Shooting through his skull and piercing 2 in a row. She looked over her shoulder as another was about to attack. Her eyes shined bright yellow and she rammed her palm into his chest. A powerful rumble sent shock waves through his body. Then it stopped suddenly. He looked down at her and snarled. She smirked as a massive beam of light energy shot through his chest and eradicated any and everything behind him. She picked her bow up and pulled the sting. Strands of light formed into arrows and she shot them into the air. The arrows descended immediately, in the form of massive pillars of light. Taking out multiple enemies in one go. Meia-san drew an arrow and launched it into another's head. With a smirk she went after more.

Kira-san and Kagome-san were moving as a unit. They were by far the most fluid and angil of the 5 of us. Kira-san sheathed her dagger's in her side straps. She waved her hands in fluid tai-chi motions, summoning water and clouds around her, Kagome-san, and their enemies. Kagome-san smiled and spread the cloud into a thick fog around them. As the La~Raku started to move confused in the fog, joint attacks with devastating results occurred. Kagome-san's twin Bladed Tonfa slashed many along the chest and back. The cuts way to many to count. Her wind powers only made them more deadly. The La~Raku felt no pain from such clean cuts. Their bodies bleeding with out their knowing. Kira did the follow up. Using her Rapid-Falls Assault form, she cut the beasts in half with powerful jet streams of water. Severing limbs and heads. Their mist dissipated as they surveyed their damage. Just as the mist faded a massive La~Rack shot from the ground. The five of us looked up at the thing. It was at least 2 stories tall. I growled. I was still pissed off about my first kiss getting messed up. I spread my wings and shot into the air. Marco-kun and Meia-san realized what I was doing. Marco-kun looked at the massive creature and slapped his hands together. Pulling them apart slowly electrical bursts stretched from hand to hand. He smashed his hands into the ground and the lighting streaked along the ground. Smashing into the beasts legs. Keeping him electrically still by paralyzing the nerves in his legs. Kira-san caught on and dashed in. Kagome-san right behind her. The two shot across it's body, severing its arms. As his arms drooped, Meia-san shot and arrow clean through its body. A massive gapping hole that was leaking large quantities of blood. It looked up to be met by my blade. Cutting it down the middle. The blood erupting into a massive red blaze as he burned ti cinders.

“WHO ELSE WANTS SOME!?!?!?!?” I screamed. With heavy pants, we all changed back to our normal forms. Meia-san walked up and put her hand on my shoulder.

“You sure do know how to make an entrance.” she said with a light laugh. I smiled slightly and started to relax.

“Yeah. We always bring trouble with us. Oh yeah, I guess introductions are in order,” I said turning to the others. As I turned, Kira-san and Kagome-san were right in my face.

“Sano-chan/Sano-kun who is she?” they asked at the same time. As I was about to answer a friendly voice chimed in.

“That would be my little sister,” Kimari-sempai said walking up. He smiled and had a bag over his shoulder. He had just gotten out of his college classes. He smiled and looked over at us.

“Yuroto-kun, good to see you again.” he said smiling. I was about to answer him when I was pushed to the ground and trampled by Kira-san and Kagome-san. They were both drooling over the silver haired Kimari-sempai. They just gawked at him while Meia-san and Marco-kun helped me back to my feet.

“Those two always like that?” Meia-san asked. Marco-kun and I looked at each other, then at Meia-san.

“Always,” we said at the same time. Meia-san smiled. Marco-kun extended his hand.

“Kuno Marco. Nice to meet you...”he started. He didn't know her name.

“Meia. Wataro Meia,” she said extending her hand and shacking his. I smiled and brushed myself off.

“The two staring at your brother are Mizono Kira-san and Yukino Kagome-san,” I said. Meia-san nodded. Kira-san looked over at me.

“Sano-chan. Introduce us to your friend,”she said looking Kimari-sempai over. Seemingly stripping him with her eyes. I sighed.

“Kira-san, Kagome-san. This is Wataro Kimari-sempai,” I said sighing. Meia-san saw how I looked at kira-san and smiled.

“So she's the bittersweet,” she whispered in my ear. My face went bright red. My head whipped around and looked her in the eye. She smiled and laughed. Marco-kun sighed. He looked at his watch.

“Hey guys, we got to get back. They'll be lookin for us soon,” he said. Meia looked at him.

“You have an Osakin accent,” she said looking him over.

“Yeah. I was born here. My mother's name is Tsurika,” he said. Meia's eyes widened.

“Tsurika-san....I look over her at the Hospice,” she said silently. Marco-kun's eyes widened. He grabbed her by her shirt. Tears building up in her eyes

“Where is she?! Tell me!!” he screamed. The rest of us looked at him. He was way different now. Real worry in his voice and urgency.

“I'll take you to her tommorow,” Meia-san said. Marco-kun let her go and sulked back. Turning and walking towards the hotel. Kira-san and Kagome-san followed after him. Concerned for this now thick wall he had put up around himself. Blocking everyone out. I looked at Meia-san.

“Meet up with us tommorow about this time,” I said. She nodded and she and Kimari-sempai walked away
