• Once, this plushie called Earth home. Once, he was loved by a little girl, named Yuna. This little rabbit was just a stuffed animal she loved, and slept with every night. On her birthday the little girl wished very hard. "I wish my bunny could be alive." She blew out the candles on her cake, and nothing happened. Disappointed, she went to bed, leaving the plushie by the window seat. Suddenly the window swung open silently, and the moonlight shone on the little rabbit. A strong gust of wind blew him right down into the garden, where the light shone even brighter. As the light touched him, he opened his button eyes, and smiled for the first time. He couldn't wait to go to Yuna. He moved to go up the trellis, but as he reached the top, the window swung shut. "Wishes aren't simply granted easily. They come at a price." A strange voice spoke from behind the little rabbit, and he turned. "Who are you?" The strange shadow was Lady Luna, whose bright eclipse had touched the rabbit magically. "I am the moon. I am very sorry, but the price of your little one's wish is that you must leave her." At this, the little rabbit's heart was breaking. "May I wish a wish, Lady Luna?" "Wishes come at a price." "I know. But I... I wish I could speak to Yuna just once more!" "Very well, but the price is she won't remember. Either that or you offer me something else later. Go, quickly." Sadness made the little rabbit feel a strange emotion. He had never felt anything before. Slowly he swung into the now open window, and floated over to Yuna, who was awake. "Oh!" Yuna started at such a sight, but moved near. "Are you... my rabbit? Did my wish come true?" "Yes. It came true. But I have to leave you, that's the price." "No!" "Lady Luna says I must. Don't be sad! I will watch over you always." "But I didn't want to lose you..." "I'm sorry." At this, the little girl Yuna began to cry, the teardrops glistening. Lady Luna stepped into the room, shining brightly. "I did not ask for this little girl's tears, so she has paid her debt, but you still owe me, little one." "I will come with you." Yuna hugged the little rabbit tightly, and whispered, "I always loved you, I always will." The little plushie ran over to Lady Luna. "If I go with you, will she still remember? She paid her debt you said, can she please still remember me?" "Very well. That is sufficient." They left, and as time passed, Yuna grew up; but she always told the story of her little plushie's sacrifice for her. To this day, the little rabbit looks down on earth, watching the little children wish, knowing in his heart what his Yuna did would never be forgotten, and what he did for Yuna would never be forgotten by her.
