• Jensy pressed her head against the car window in frustration. The coolness relieved the throbbing pain on her temples.
"You can't always control what I do, who I meet, and where I go mom! You dictate everything that goes on in my life! I'm 17 now and I should be able to make choices for myself!"
"Jensy, honey. I know that you are becoming more and more independent. But I just don't want you to make the mistakes in life like I did. You're going to Cambridge and that's final."
Jensy and her mother, Carolyn, having been feuding for over 2 days now. Jensy is fed up with her mother always trying to rule her life as if she were still a little child. Jensy wants to go to a small university that's far away from home and parent-free. But her mother Carolyn thinks otherwise.
As Carolyn turns into the driveway, Jensy opens the car door and runs onto the grassy-lawn without thinking.
"Jensy!" Carolyn screams. Immediatley, she stops the car.
"What the hell was that for?"
"Mom, I'm leaving this house!" Jensy cries, mascara-tears running down the sides of her face.
"I'm leaving this house with Brendon and I'm going to Paris!! You can't do anything about that!" She turns around and storms off into the house. Carolyn shakes her head pitifully.
In the house, even more commotion was going on. The babysitter, Yvette, was aruguing with Jensy's father, Derrick.
"Yvette, I told you NOT to let the contractor in. But, you did it anyway!"
"I did it because that was the right thing to do!" Yvette's voice didn't sound the usual way it did with it's strong accent.
"You know what Yvette? You're fired!" In an instant, Derrick huffed off with his red, shiny face.

"How are you honey?" Carolyn asked, oblivious to the scene that'd just happened.
