• "So, I might not be human!" Ark said, pulling a book out of the shelf of his dad's library. "Most likely only half." I said, putting a book back on the shelf. "Will I have powers like yours?" he asked. "No, if my suspicions are correct, you will have power over one or more elements." I told him. "That's so cool!" he nearly yelled. I shrugged. "Junko, how did you survive?" I thought. I half noticed me tail wag with impatience. I found nothing in the new book I was holding and shoved it back in the shelf. "Hey, Jinx." he called. "What?" I tried to say kindly. "Is this her?" he asked showing my a picture from hundreds of years ago of a young looking girl with eyes every color, short lightblue hair, and a confident smile. "That's her!" I nearly yelled. "I kinda got that with her name being Junko Hyuuga and all," he said. "Now, I need to see something." I said. He looked at me skeptically "Why?" he asked. "Just to make sure you really are a half unknown." I said. He still looked doubtful. "Just sit down." I said. He sat down on the floor, I went on my knees behind him and searched through his hair. "I feel like there's a monkey picking lice out of my hair." he commented. I found two brown stubs in his head and pulled. "OUCH!" he yelled. "You have two tiny bunny ears on your head." I said. "Was what?!" he nearly yelled again. "Tiny. Brown. Bunny. Ears." I said slowly. He quickly reached up and searched through his head. I took his hands and guided them to the two stubs on the top of his head. He tugged on them a bit, as if to make sure they were really part of him. "Why did I only notice them now?" he asked. "They are kinda small." I said. He turned to me, put his hand up and tugged on my pink fox ears. "Will mine be bigger than these?" he asked. "Bunny ears are pretty tall, so yes." I told him. He sighed. Ark pulled me onto his crisscrossed lap, put a hand on my upper arm around my back and his other near my waist. "My dad is gunna be so pisssed!" he said. I shuddered at the thought. "I'm sorry." I told him. He shook his head. "The thing is, my dad knew, read it in his diary I found on his desk. He knew I was half unknown, he never told me." he paused, clenching his fists in frustration. "He wanted to keep it secret, to keep it all hidden from me. He lied, for my entire life, he's lied." he struggled to keep his anger restrained. "Are you really surprised?" I asked. He looked up at me. "Don't you think it was odd how hard he pushed you to becoming a businessman instead of an artist like you wanted?" I asked again. "Now, that I think about it, you're right!" he said. "Ya think?" I asked sarcastically. He grinned. "Hey, can I ask you something?" he asked. "What?" I asked. "Can I kiss you now?" he asked me. "You really think you need to ask?" I said. He shrugged, and kissed me. His dad would be home soon, what will we do when the time comes?
