• Part 1

She called herself Whiskey, Whiskey Locket. I met her one night at a bar, when I had entered she was surrounded by men. Each one trying to get her attention by buying her drinks. Her blond curls pulled back into a fancy bun that was laced with baby's breath. She wore a black silk dress, which rested high on her perfectly tan thighs when she sat down. Her lipstick was a light shade of red that fit her lips perfectly. Her ocean blue eyes glowing with joy from all the attention as she flirted with the men. I only shrugged and walked to my normal booth thinking nothing of the beauty I had just laid eyes upon. Betsy, one of the waitress and well known friend came up to my booth to take my order. Her auburn hair pulled back into a ponytail, her tight work shirt tucked into her short tight shorts.

"Hello, John." She said chewing her gum. "What will it be tonight?"

I looked up at her. "The usual."

She nodded and turned to the bar. I hung my head between my arms and closed my eyes, trying to block all noise that surrounded me.

"Excuse me, is this spot taken?" Came the voice of an angel.

I looked up and laid my eyes upon the beauty that stood before me. Her perfect red stained lips curved up at the corners with a devilish grin. I smiled back and offered her the seat. When she sat down she was running her perfectly red painted finger along the rim of her glass.

"Tell me Mr.?" She paused a moment and looked up at me with those deep, ocean blue eyes, her long black eyelashes sweeping over them. "I'm sorry; I don't believe I got your name." She said.

"John, John Heart." I told her looking into her eyes.

"Well tell me Mr. Heart, why haven't you offered me a drink yet. Aren't gentlemen supposed to buy pretty women drinks?"

I chuckled slightly just as Betsy brought my drink to the table. I lifted the drink to my lips and smiled over it at the woman in front of me. I lifted the glass and drank. "I'm not going to buy a pretty woman a drink. Though tell me your name and I'll buy her a drink." I said setting my glass on the table.

She smiled and nodded in return. "Names Whiskey, Whiskey Locket."

I called Betsy back to the table and ordered Ms. Locket her drink. She seemed to be amused by my manners and cunning ways. Whiskey was beautiful down to the very last bone in her body. As I looked her over many times and times again I couldn't find a single flaw. She was simply amazing in every way. After her order was taken she looked at me and smiled shyly, as though she were a school girl embarrassed to be alone with a boy. I smirked slightly, knowing the games that Mrs. Locket played with men. She'd get everything she wanted from a man then toss him away like old paper.

After several drinks, I had Ms. Locket in the palm of my hand. She was telling me everything, from her daddy issues to her lonesome life. A few times she'd laugh others she'd cry. I sat there with a smile on my face, amused by how easy she was to make a fool of.

"Mr. Heart. Will you please take me home? I'm afraid I have forgotten how to get to my own home." She pleaded.

As bad as it may sound, I took her home with me. Not out of hope I'd get lucky, but because the poor girl was toast and had gone overboard. I placed her in my car and drove down the streets of New York. On the drive to my apartment, I would glance at her catching her dozing off here and there. Streets lights glared through the window shinning onto her face. The beauty was amazing, and I felt myself yearn for her in every way possible. Shaking my head of the thoughts I drove down the last street and parked in front of my apartment.

"Ms. Locket we're here." I said to her.

She rolled her head to look at me, her eyes half open. "Mr. Heart, you're going to have to carry me." She said giggling.

I walked around the car and pulled her out of the car and into my arms. Her skin was soft, like the first rose peddle to bloom. I closed the car door and carried her into my home. Unlocking the door, I stepped into the living room and laid her onto the couch. Switching on the light, I wiggled out of my coat and walked into the kitchen.

Ms. Locket, would you like anything to drink? A cup of tea or coffee?" I asked her.

"Coffee sounds lovely." She moaned as she tried to sit up on the couch.

"How do you like the coffee?" I asked pulling the coffee down out of the cabinet.

"Strong, bold, either one of those." She said rubbing her head.

I nodded and finished making the coffee. After turning the coffee pot on, I walked around the corner to grab her a blanket out of the closet. Unfolding it I walked behind her and wrapped it around her shoulders.

"Thanks." She muttered pulling it around her.

After the coffee was finished I walked into the living room and handed her a cup. Taking mine, I sat in the chair across from her and looked at her from over the rim as I sipped it slowly. Whiskey tilted her mug back slightly, one hand on the handle the other cradling the bottom of her cup. When she pulled the cup from her lips her eyes met mine and she set the mug on the table.

"So, Mr. Heart, you're planning on having sex now aren't you? You figured since I'd let you take me home that you had a chance. Am I right?" She asked.

I pulled my cup away from my lips and smiled softly. "No, Ms. Locket. I'm sorry to disappoint but that isn't the kind of man I am. Unlike most, my mother taught me right. So relax and know that you are safe here. No one will touch or bring harm to you."

Her eyes burrowed into mine like a drill. She was trying to find some sign of falseness in my promise. I broke the gaze between us by standing and walking over to the window to look out of the big city. Instead I stared at the reflection of Ms. Locket and myself. She sat on the couch her back to window, her head hung low, her hair coming undone from the hairdo. I stood there, coffee mug in one hand, the other tucked into my dress pants. My hair was pulled back with a piece of fabric at the nape of my neck.

"Mr. Heart. Why is it you won't do anything with me?" She asked, sounding rejected.

I chuckled and walked back towards her. "My dear Ms. Locket. don't get the wrong idea, you're a very beautiful woman, and might I say many men wish to have you in their home like so, but I am a man of manners and values. I will not take advantage of a woman for my likings, it must be of hers."

She stood from the couch, the blanket falling off her shoulders. "I am doing this for my likings." She said.

I shook my head and raised the hand with the coffee mug up and pointed at her. "You're drunk, it goes against everything. So please finish your coffee and go to sleep. I'll take you home tomorrow and we'll never see each other again."

She plopped down onto the couch dumbfounded by my words that we both knew were true but neither wanting to hear. I set my cup on the counter and walked into my room closing and locking the door. I ran over to the wall across from me and punched it. My teeth clenched together I growled lowly angry at myself. I had the perfect chance to have my way with the beauty of all and I turned her down. I flung myself onto my bed and stared up at the ceiling. She was only just outside my bedroom door, her perfect lips, her soft tan skin, waiting for the slightest touch of my hands. Moaning, I pulled my pillow over my face and closed my eyes. It was going to be a long and stressful night.
