• Chapter 1

“Jamie! Wake up this instant!” yelled a frustrated, cranky mother, “You never did do the dishes last night like I told you to!”
Sighing, Jamie sat up in bed. Her brown hair that was combed out last night was now sticking out in all directions, causing her to look like Medusa. She was about five feet tall, and had green eyes that shone beautifully at night whenever the moon would be shining.
Getting up, Jamie let out a yawn. She walked over to the mirror and looked at herself, laughing. “I need to blow dry my hair more often so I won’t look like this.” Jamie said to herself with a giggle
After about forty-five minutes, she came out of the bathroom, her hair straightened and makeup on.
“Jamie! Get in the kitchen now and empty the dishwasher!!” Jamie’s mother yelled out, and then thought to herself, “Why must I have such of a lazy daughter?!”
Mumbling under her breath, Jamie walked downstairs and into the kitchen and emptied the dishwasher. After about ten minutes, she started the dishwasher and grabbed her purse and keys, darting to the front door.
“See ya’!” she yelled out, and she darted to her car that was a silver Ford Mustang which was a 2003 model. It was now 2012.
Turning her car on, she cranked her radio up all the way to 99.5 The Wolf, a country station, and she drove up, almost going over the speed limit. As she was driving, now only several miles away from her college, an advertisement on the radio came on, some man saying something about androids.
“Wow… what and idiot. Androids can never exist.” Jamie thought to herself
Finally, Jamie pulled into the college parking lot and parked. As she got out, one of her friends who watched her as she pulled in, took out his cell phone and dialed a number and put the phone to his ear.
“She is here…What?!” he exclaimed, “I won’t do that! She is my best friend!.. Okay! Fine.” And he hung up
“Hi, Jason!” Jamie exclaimed happily as she walked towards him
“Hey, Jamie…um…can we talk?” asked Jason, who didn’t want to discuss this at all
“Sure, but can we talk when we get inside? It’s really hot out here.” Jamie replied, fanning herself with a binder
Jason chuckled a little. He always found Jamie to be funny. “Okay.”
When the two got inside, they walked over to the cafeteria and sat down at one of the tables.
“Sooo…” Jamie began, “What is it you want to talk about?” she asked, taking out her bottle of Crystal Lite, taking a sip of it.
Jason looked left, and then looked right, seeing if anybody was at hearing range.
“Jamie… I know you aren’t the smartest one to know things, but… have you ever heard of an android?” he asked
“Um…sort of…” Jamie replied, “Why do you ask?”
“Well…you see…” Jason opened a can of coke, “I need you to come with me-
“Oo! On a date?!” Jamie interrupted happily
Sipping his drink, he choked and coughed, coke spewing out of his nose.
“Oh… Oh my gosh! I-I am so sorry!” Jamie exclaimed
Jason sighed, but then laughed a little.
“Nope. Not a date, silly…” and he laughed some more, “I need to take you to my lab. I need your help on something…very important.”
“Okay. But it only depends on what it is. You ought to know I am not very good at science projects.” Jamie replied.
Jason chuckled some more. “Don’t worry. This isn’t a school project. It’s an experiment that I am working on at home, but I will explain more of it after class.”
