• The world spun like an endless whirl-a-wheel as Caitlin found herself falling, falling, falling. All the mistakes she had made, the lives she had most likely ruined... it was all irreversible now, there was no stopping her bone-crushing fate.
Whoosh! In a split second she felt her limp body being grasped by very strong arms. Closer they pulled her in until Caitlin found herself weeping. She was afraid to look up, for she knew who her rescuer was.
"Damn you Caitlin! What the hell do you think you were doing?" Came his voice, angry but sympathetic. He kissed her on the forehead, his own tears cascading onto her cheeks.
"Why did you save me." She whispered, not even bothering to elevate her tone to a questioning one.
"Because I love you!" He cried out to the wind, fearful if he look Caitlin in the eye he would completely lose it.
Caitlin turned away bitterly, but neither loosened their grip on each other. "I'm sorry you always have to catch me."
He gingerly turned her head towards his, and looked her dead in the eyes and said, "Don't ever be sorry for needing someone."
