• Louis"s POV

The rain was falling steadily that night, ohh, how well I remember it. I remember what happened that day, A knight appeared at our utterly igsignificant village, to slay the beast terrorising our town.
I knew right at that moment I wanted to become like him.
I got of of my bed and went to te mirror, what a magnificent invention. But as I looked in the mirror all I felt was envy.
I am a woman.... and women are forbiden to do any of the things that a male can do.
Surely I was old enough, I was 16 by now, but my parents...no the world didnt understand. My parents wanted to marry me to the richest snob Jacob Laucruev.
Of all the men in the world why him, he was a sadistic monster.
I gazed at the sword on my dresser intentivly, how I remember that as well. I closed my eyes and it all came back to me.

After the knight had slayed the beast I gazed up at him...he was quite handsome actually that chocalate brown hair....those gorgeous emerald eyes....but no thats besides the point.
I gazed up at him, and he smiled down at me. As if he knew what I was thinking he handed me his extra sword he had two the whole time. That suprised me. He just gave it to me.
"Use it well" he whispered in my ear. "You never know when you will need it espeacaily if you are a knight like me. Just keep it hidden the villagers won't like the fact of a girl having a sword."
    And then he was gone.

I opened my ear and stared at my breast surely if I wore a tight bodice and a loose shirt no one would notice right. The only problem was the hair...
I took off my dress and as thought, put on my tightest bodice. I rumaged though my older brothers cest and finally found a shirt small enough to fit me and a pair of trousers and put them on then slowly closed the chest.
I went back to the mirror, I looked manish enough, exept for the hair. I held my hair back with my left hand, the sword in the right and very carefuly cut. I heard the swiiish, and felt the pull as I ran the sword through it, I closed my eyes but I was not afraid. When I finished I reopened my eyes. I saw a whole different person a man never the less.
But as I looked at my brother I felt guilt, guilty for wanting to leave my family, however I had no choose now. I cut my hair, the deed was done.
Carefully I pulled out a peice of parchment and a pen, and wrote.

"Dear Mother, Father, Billy, Elizabeth, Jordan, and Richard"(wow what a large familly).
I am sorry but this is where I say farewell. Goodbye."

Tears ran down my face as I wrote, however I wipped them away. I wanted to write more but that was all I could write on the paper.

    "love, your daughter Loise."

I kissed the paper and laid it down as if it was some sort of ritual. And then slipped out of the front door went down to the barn to te horse stable to see my stallion Biard.
He snorted contendedly as I entered the stall. even through the dark I could see his light bay coat.. I walked him out of the barn into the moonlight.

"Biard" I whispered into his ear as i got on his sadle and his reighs."We are going to be going on a little trip."
Biard snorted as if in agreement.
This was like a sign from god to me telling me to do this.
I urged Biard foward as I looked at the house one finnal time.

"YAH!" I cried. And Biard started running.

And then I embraced the future ahead of me.
