• When I woke back up Daniel was standing over me. For some odd reason he had his palm pressed against open mouth. I tried to move my head away from his hand. But with his other hand he took the back of my neck and braced it there. I tried to brake free but it was no use he had an iron grip on me. "Stay still" Daniel said slightly irritated. Having no other chose I did what I was told. I just let my mind go blank. Something sweet touched my tongue, the flavor exploded in my mouth. It compared to nothing I ever tasted. More dripped. But it wasn't enough. My tongue found the source of the sweetness. Suddenly I chomped down on it hoping more would come out. I was right it did put with that came a cry of pain. Not until then did I notice that his hand was the source of my sweetness. I unclenched my teeth from his hand. He took back his hand examining it. A strange black liquid was seeping out of his wounds. The only way it was seeping out of his wounds was if it was his blood. But nobody's blood was black. Maybe it was all those friction novels that made me think this but I don't think he was human. With every thing that happened to me today that only seemed logical. Or maybe I was just going crazy. Looking at the wounds, I started to salivate. It was like staring at fresh chocolate cookies cool. Thirteen must have noticed my staring. He opened what looked like a brand new first aid aid kit. Thirteen quickly, with nimble fingers, cleaned and bandaged Daniel's hand. Without that distraction I was able to take in my surroundings. We were in some cheap motel. The kind I suspect would rarely got cleaned. "Oh, before I forget." Daniel put a plastic bag in my lap, "Here are some clothes". I got up from the the bed, I was previously laying on, and made my way to the bathroom. The bathroom was what I expected. The size of a closet and questionable. Sitting the bag in the sink, I opened the bag. There were sweat pants, a T-shirt, hoodie, socks, and shoes. All black. The cloths were two sizes two big. The shoes felt two sizes too small. Putting the scrubs in the plastic bag and leaving them there. I caught sight of my reflection. My skin was several tones light than my natural sun kissed skin. My hair lost all of its natural shine and highlights. It was just all one dull shade of brown. My eyes had deep circles under them. But on the up side my skin was clear of all blemishes. I think I even lost weight. The only think that didn't change were my eyes, the same honey hazel as they always been. Back in the other room I could hear Daniel and Thirteen whispering. Seemed important. When I entered the the room they stopped talking. "I'm tired of secrets" I announced "I need answers." They didn't seem surprised. Daniel was the one to speak after a brief silence. "What do you want to know?" There were about a billion things I wanted to know. I took a moment to mentally make a list of the need to know. I started with the one I had to know. "Did I die today?" I asked. Daniel simply nodded. Like it was the most normal thing in the world. "Then how am I alive?" Daniel too a moment before answering me, "I brought you back with my blood ". His cool laid back attitude really started to annoy me. Couldn't he tell how freaked out I was. "What are you people?" biting the inside of my cheek to keep from freaking out. Daniel and thirteen glanced at each other. They were hiding something I could feel it. "What are you?" I repeated staring at Daniel. Daniel caught my glance. "We aren't human" Daniel simply said. Like I couldn't tell that after the day I had. I just stood there there waiting for specifics. After standing there for a few minutes, I figure he was done talking. "Is that it, that is all you are going to tell me?" I was even more confused now then when I first woke up. Daniel got up from the bed and stood in front of me "Yes, that is all you need to know for right know". There was only one question I had to ask "What happens to me now?"
