• I hid under the table, trying to listen for the footsteps that I heard a few moments ago, pacing around the kitchen. Instead, the beating of my heart was drowning the little noise the stranger made, if ever he was close by.

I gathered courage, and slowly tilted my head to check whether the man was still checking around my house. Instead, my vision was filled with red. I was staring at his eyes. Suddenly, I felt cold sweat drip down, and I swear I can't hear my heart beat anymore. It was swallowed by fear. I was swallowed by fear. I can feel his breath against my face. Hot and moist. Through my peripheral vision, I saw him flick his long and pointed tongue. His saliva, slowly making its way down my cheek.

Then, slowly, gracefully, he slid away from me, almost a meter. Suddenly, an image of a familiar girl holding a knife appeared before us. Before me. The creature smiled, and looked at the girl, which was now slowly drawing the knife against her heart.

I wanted to scream, to tell her to stop, but the only thing I managed to do was to whisper a "No."

Chills ran down my spine, as the girl twisted around to face us. She stared at me, through my soul. She smiled menacingly, and plunged the knife through her heart. I gasped, trying hard to breathe. The clock struck twelve.

Ever so slowly, I pulled the knife away from my heart, then darkness filled my vision.
