• Narrator: In a world of wonder and superstitions, people lie to themselves either to forget the truth or pretend to know the truth. Those who know the truth can see it. Not with their bare eyes, but the eyes of their souls. We come to see Keisuke as he defies his parents to figure out the root of his curse. But little does he know, he would be risking not only his life, but those around him.

    Whisper 1:
The sun slowly set behind the horizon, the vast sea that stretches itself throughout the world. In a park nearby, a young man sat, waiting for the darkness to come. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. The light from the phone lit up his face. His eyes were a mismatched colors of a dark purple and crimson red. His dark blue hair swayed in the breeze as he sighed softly, closing his phone.

Keisuke: "They're late again... As always. Idiots."

Two dark figures approached him from behind, moving sneakily and slowly reaching out for his shoulder. The hands grabbed the young man's shoulder gently, frightening him and causing him to jump forward.

    Keisuke: "What the?!"
Keisuke turned around to see the two figures standing before him. The fading sun lighted their faces up. It revealed a young woman in her early twenties and a young man in mid twenties.

Young man: "Hey, Keisuke. Did we scare you or something? You jumped pretty high."
    He teased Keisuke, chuckling softly.

Young women: "Oh, is this your friend honey?"
She squinted her eyes and tried to get a better look at Keisuke's face.

Keisuke: "Tch. Always a joker aren't you Nobu. Late as usual too!"
Keisuke pointed at Nobu's face, slowly rotating his hand and flipping Nobu off.

Nobu: "Wow, someones already mad because I'm a little late. Stop your crying, I'm here aren't I? By the way, this is my girlfriend Ai."
He scratched the side of his nose lightly, then proceeded to grab Ai, pulling her in front of him.

Ai: "Hey, my name is Ai Fujiwara."
She stuck out her tongue and threw Keisuke the peace sign.

Keisuke: "I don't know what the hell that was... But don't ever do that again... Please."
He turned his back towards her, giving her the cold shoulder and waving her off.

Ai turned and wrapped her arms around Nobu, burying her face into his chest. Nobu sighed and wrapped his arms around her, stroking the back of her head. He chuckled softly again and kissed the top of her head.
Nobu: "Now now. Keisuke, you jerk. Apologize to her! Is that how you treat ladies?"

Keisuke: "Tch, like I give a damn... But whatever. Sorry."
He turned towards them, crossing his arms while looking away.

Ai loosened her arms, slowly turning back around. She gently pried Nobu's hands apart and walked up to Keisuke, poking his cheek with her index finger and giggling at him.
Ai: "Wow Keisuke, so Nobu was telling the truth! You are a softy!"

Nobu chuckled again, rubbing the back of his head slowly.
Nobu: "Ooooh boy. I think I'm in trouble now. Sorry Keisuke, I just had to!"

    Keisuke: "God damn it Nobu!"
He pushed Ai out of the way and reached out for Nobu's shirt. He grasped his collar and pulled it upward, pulling Nobu towards him. Ai continued giggling at the two young men as they quarreled.

Nobu put his hands up and just smiled, shrugging his shoulders.
Nobu: "Little Keisuke, when you have someone you love, you'll understand. I promise. Nyan!~"

Keisuke: "Don't you Nyan me you weirdo!"
He loosened his grip as he felt a disturbance in the air around them.
Keisuke: "Is it just me... Or did it get a little chilly?"

Ai: "I feel it too! Hold me love!"
She ran into Nobu's happily awaiting arms. He caressed her rubbing his face slowly against hers.
Nobu: "I'll do anything for you nyan!"

Keisuke: "You two are just completely useless... But rea-"
Keisuke's ears popped as his vision dimmed for a moment. While Nobu and Ai were still cuddling, he slowly turned his head towards the swing where he had sat earlier. There, a little boy sat. He was wearing a blue cap, blue shorts, and a plain t-shirt. His skin was white as snow, but there was something missing. Keisuke's eyes widened and his breathing became heavier as the boy slowly looked in his direction.
    Keisuke: "H-his eye..!"
As the darkness had settled, he could see that there was a hole in the child's face. For a moment, Keisuke was shocked to see something like this. Taking a few steps, the boy called out.
Boy: "Please... I want to go home..."
A mixture of red, yellow, and white fluid slowly oozed out from the gaping hole in his face as he reached out to Keisuke.

Keisuke: "What? I don't understand..! Where?!"
Keisuke ran towards the boy as he pointed off towards the ocean. The boy slowly vanished into thin air as Keisuke reached out for him.
    Keisuke: "Wait! Don't go!"

Nobu wrapped his arm around Keisuke's neck, stopping him completely.
Nobu: "Keisuke, did you see it again? What did you see? What did it-"
Nobu slowly came to a stop when Keisuke looked back at him. Tears ran down Keisuke's face, and running onto Nobu's arm.

Keisuke: "Let go of me! I have to find him!"
Keisuke struggled in Nobu's arms before he let go. Ai slowly walked up behind them and grabbed Keisuke's hand.

Ai: "Keisuke... It's okay... I felt it too. The sadness and the pain. Where did he point to?"
Ai wiped his tears away with her sleeve. As Keisuke pointed the direction for her, she nodded and closed her eyes.
    Ai: "Follow me."

Keisuke and Nobu slowly followed Ai towards the ocean. As they approached the shoreline, Ai pointed into the water.
    Ai: "There. He's floating there."

Keisuke and Nobu dove into the water, swimming in the dark. Suddenly, a faded green light lit up in front of the two. The moon reflected the light off a gem that the body was holding. As they grabbed the cold stiff body, puss slowly excreted out from the holes that rotted into him. Ai flipped her phone open to guide them as they made for the shore.

(Narrator: When someone feels the same emotions coming from another, it makes them react before thinking. I'm sure you've been staring at this screen for awhile now.)

Red and blue lights lit up the night as police and paramedics surrounded the area. Nobu and Ai were sitting by one of the patrol cars as Keisuke walked towards them. They looked over and saw a couple running towards the ambulance where the body was kept.

    Keisuke: "Those their parents?"
He looked over at them, noticing the mother drop to her knees and the father standing there motionless.

Nobu: "Yeah... They're finally reunited... But they said the kid was dead for a few days now. I'm surprised he lived right by that park we met at."
Nobu reached for his phone, shaking it and trying to turn it on.
Nobu: "Damn it. Well, any way, that necklace that he was holding, I asked the detectives to hand it over so I could see if there's any clue to how he got that hole in his eye. He might be bloated from the water... But I can tell that's a bullet wound."

Keisuke quickly turned around and looked at Nobu. His eye's flashed with anger.
Keisuke: "Are you sure?! Nobu are you positive?!"

Ai looked at Nobu, then back at Keisuke.
Ai: "He's serious Keisuke... His aura changed. The tone of his voice also changed."

Keisuke was a little confused at first, then he looked at Nobu's facial expression. There were no smiles, just a blank stare. Nobu snapped out of it and smiled at Keisuke, slowly raising his arm and wrapping it around Ai's waist.
Nobu: "Honey... Don't go reading me like that! That's not nice."

Keisuke sighed and crossed his arms.
Keisuke: "How long will the process take?"

Nobu grabbed Ai's phone and began to text someone. After a few moments, the phone vibrated and he closed it, handing it over to Ai.
Nobu: "It should take at least three days. Until then, you should go home and get some rest. I need to drop by the old mans place and send Ai home. I'll call you tomorrow."

    Keisuke: "Wait! There's some thi-"
He was cut short as Nobu and Ai waved him off, walking away. Keisuke sighed deeply again, staring back the child's parents as they cried out loud. He shook his head and walked off into the night.

The house he had lived in was as empty as ever. As he paced through the dim-lighted hallways, he stared at the dark corners and shadows that ran around. Keisuke couldn't rest, nor did he want to. The only thing on his mind was to see if the boy's death was an accident, or a murder. The floors creaked as a shadow stood behind Keisuke.

???: "Your mind. It wanders... You do remember what I told you have you not?
The deep voice echoed through the corridor as it spoke.

Keisuke stood in place as his mind raced.
Keisuke: "I do remember what you told me. I still have time. You owe me remember?"

???: "I will serve you until your life is at an end. But it's the truth you seek is it not? Why bother with something that has nothing to do with you?"
It lingered over him, the darkness slowly surrounded him.

Keisuke: "I want to save their souls. In doing so, I will eventually find the truth about this curse as well. You will do as I say until the very end. Right, Takeru?"
He turned around and faced a giant hooded shadow. The shadow slowly bent down and came in face to face with him.

The deepness of his voice pierced through the wall as he answered.
    Takeru: "As you wish... Master."
