• Chapter Three... Spencer

Diana closed her eyes and thought of her parents. She waited for the pain, waited for something to happen. Or did it happen so fast she didn't even feel it. Opening her eyes she say the wolf locked claws with a man wearing what looked like black fur. He was wearing a hood and face guard so when he turned to look at her she couldn't see its face.

"Run now! Get out of here while you can!" He shouted at her pleadingly. She was just sat there froze. "What are you waiting for!" He couldn't tell why she was just sitting there looking at him. The wolf leaned back its large head and bite the man in the shoulder. He cried out in pain as the wolf let go. The man then let go of the wolf with its right hand confusing it just long to hit it in the face. The wolf flew about five feet back.

With out pausing the man picked up Diana and started to run back to the hotel. "Hang on tight." He whispered to her. He was fast but he moved to smoothly Diana couldn't imagine how he was doing it. She looked around trying to find the wolf but couldn't. Diana then realized they where claiming up the tall hill she had so much trouble with. It might as well have been an ant hill the way he claimed it. she felt something wet on her hand.

When she looked down she knew now why her hands and arm where wet. Blood from his shoulder was all over her. She gasped and was about to say something to him when they reached the top on the hill. The trees where going by so bast she would only see walls of black. That's when the cold hit her. With all that had just happened Diana hadn't realized how cold she really was.

When they reached the top of the hill he came to a sudden stop and turned to the right. There was a crunch and Diana felt something hit his back hard. He never let go of her, when they where in the air he held on to her even tighter. They broke through the tree line and all the way to the Mirrorice lake. He turned in the air so he hit the road then they bounced to the lack. when they hit the ice she slid right out of his hands.

Diana slid to the middle of the lack on her belly. Fighting the pain in her head she tried to stand but, the ice below her was so thin and she fell through the ice. Diana fought with all her might to stay on the ice. Diana never learned to swim and know if she fell all the way in the water shed drown. She was so cold her body didn't want to move. But she finally got her leg up and pulled in the ice. When she looked up Diana found the man.

So slowly she inched herself towards him. His body was limp and his eyes where closed.

"Hey, can you hear me? You need to stay awake. I'm Diana Ferm, I'm twenty years old tomorrow. Whats your name? Tell me how old you are." She said through her teeth chartering. If he had hit his head bad things could happen if he fell asleep He ground and slowly opened his eyes. With every movement she made the ice cracked and groaned. She made a trail in what little snow was there. After several minutes she finally got to him.

He reached out and pulled her close to him. She was pined agents his chest, with her arms folded on there chests. He rested four head on the top of her head. "I'm so glad your safe. I didn't know if I had turned in time to block its hit." He sounded so relieved . "And my name is Spencer." His voice made her body want to go limp. He held her tightly then leaned away to look into her eyes. Diana had to look away, he was making her blush to much.

A crashing noise erupted from the woods and they both looked up instantly. "Listen, Diana you must do as i say now. Please, when that silver wolf comes for us I'm going to fling you towards the castle. You make a brake for the door and don't look back." He wasn't going to take no for an answer, and she know that if he wasn't protecting her he could make it out. "Ok, ill do it. Buy when will i see you again?" She asked quickly because the Silver wold was closing in fast

Cupping her chin in his hand he pulled her in close to him."Soon." He said in a whisper. Then kissed her mouth softly. She closed her eyes and kissed him back. There was a loud howl then he grabbed her hands and using one hand flung her down the ice towards the hotel.

As she spun Diana could see the silver wolf jump right on top of Spencer plummeting right to the bottom of the lake. The ice and wind was making the water on her cloths and hair start to freeze. Finally she stopped spinning and tried to stand. But because as dizzy and cold it was proving to be an impossible feet. The hotel seemed to be spinning and so where the mountains surrounding it. That feeling quickly went away and she was off. The ice was much thicker here and made it easy to run. Diana heard loud gasping and splashing.

Hearing that made her so happy. Spencer was ok, he was alive the feeling of happiness helped her get to the door. The feeling of the stones under her feet was so much better then the ice. She took the steps two at a time, and when she had her hands on the door she looked back to see if he was still there.

Diana turned to see the silver wolf running into the woods and Spencer standing there looking at her. She polled the door opened quickly ran in and closed it. She leaned on the door and slid down to the floor. The boy working behind the desk stood up an started running over to her.

She touched her lips with the tips of her fingers. They where still tingling form there kiss. Her face blushed just remembering it. "Spencer." She whispered to herself softly.
