• Dream Wanderer

    Chapter One

I was walking on the street. It was dark, there were barely any lights to guide the way, and even when I passed underneath a streetlight, it wasn't bright enough. I guess one would be scared if they were in my situation. The hell, I was scared of where I was walking. I didn't even know why I was walking in this area of town. I tried hard to think of it until I was pushed into a wall.

The scenery had changed. It was still dark, but I was in the forest. It was even more frightening than the first place. I looked around and tried to walk away but my whole body was bound to the tree. I started freaking out, and I yelled out for help, to no answer. Who would be in the woods at this time? Actually, who would be in the woods at all. It was creepy, and no one in their right mind would come here in the first place. I tried to wiggle free of the ropes, but it didn't work. When I tried again, I heard a jingle. I couldn't believe it. It changed to chains. Why was I here? I didn't understand. How did I get myself into this predicament?

"Now, now dear...Where do you think you're going?" I screamed. Where was this voice coming from? Was there someone here with me? Of course there was...who would have tied me to this tree in the first place?

"Who-who's there?" I asked, my voice trembling in fear. I waited a few minutes and there was no reply. It was starting to get really frightening. I was in the middle of the woods, chained to a tree, and someone creepy was here with me. I tried breaking free of the chains again, and to my surprise I broke free. I hurriedly shook off the chains and looked around. I started to run in which I thought was the exit. I then heard footsteps running behind me. I tried to run faster.

"Come back my dear! We won't hurt you!" It was the voice I heard earlier. We? That implied that there was more than one person. I was just one. I tried to run faster and faster but I tripped over a tree root. The footsteps stopped because they reached me. My stumbling was the cause of my death.

"Please...let me go," I pleaded to them. "I didn't do anything wrong. Why are you doing this to me?!" I screamed at them. I tried to fend them off as best as I could. I punched them, kicked them, slapped them. I guess one of them got tired of me and slapped me across the face, hard. I started to cry. "Why...why are you doing this? Why..." I continued to cry, and then all of a sudden I heard grunts.

"Hey! What's your problem? We aren't doing anything!" The guys that were attacking me, were now, getting attacked by a guy. He continued to beat them up. I was too scared to even care who he was, or what he looked like. I continued to watch in fright, as the guy finally finished beating them up. Are they dead? Before I could think about it some more, the guy turned around. I gasped, not because I was scared, but because he was beautiful. I giggled on the inside because if I had laughed out loud, what would he do to me? I didn't know if he was dangerous or not.

He started towards me, running. I was scared, so I closed my eyes, even though I didn't know what was going to happen to me. When I opened my eyes, we were at school, inside of my homeroom. I was confused and then I saw the boy in our school uniform staring at me, smiling. I couldn't help but smile back. He walked up to me and placed his hands on my face, and then pulled me in to hug me. I smiled, and then looked up at him. "Wake up Cameron. I'll see you soon," he told me.

Wake up? What is he talking about? I thought to myself. When I looked back at him, he was gone. And I was confused and scared. What was going on? Then I remembered what he told me. I closed my eyes and told myself to wake up. Everything turned black, and then started fading into white and when I opened my eyes again, I was back at home. In my bedroom, very confused. I got up and walked down the stairs of my home and saw my family in the kitchen.

"You're finally awake, what a loser," said my older sister. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my dad. He looked at me and smiled.

"What's wrong honey?" he asked me. I looked around and then I whispered into his ear.

"Pinch me, I think I'm still dreaming," I said in reply. He laughed and pinched my face really hard. It hurt a lot! "Ow ow ow ow OW! Okay dad! Let go of my cheek now! It hurts!" I yelled at him. He laughed and let go. I rubbed my face. Okay...not a dream. Then...who is that boy? And how does he know me?
