• I slipped through the glass door to go outside. it creaked just the slightest bit. it sounded almost like a yawn. I knew the sun would awake soon. i walked the streets wearily,becoming impatient. the sky had changed from a pitch black to a dim royal blue. it stretched across the high horizon looking like glass. the clouds were hiding away,waiting to greet the sun. out of the corner of my eye, a dim glow rose in the east. it wasn't bright but well enough to declare its existence. a small glow. precious moments had passed while the sun was lifted into the sky. grey clouds wrapped around the sun as if to greet a king by taking off his coat for him. the blue sky attempted to hide behind the sun,savior of day. the skies turn a blushing pink,knowing that others could still see it. the sun rose higher and higher,ready to declare dawn. the morning had turned sparkling. not blazing like the afternoon. all heads including mine turned up to the sky. dawn was declared
