Blink your eyes once

And see that nothing's changed

Blink your eyes again

And see what God's hand made



Blink your eyes once

And see the sun shining bright

Blink your eyes again

And see day turn to night



Blink your eyes once

And see the people rejoice

Blink your eyes again

And see those people lose their voice



Blink your eyes once

And see the gentle spring rains

Blink your eyes again

And see your friends in chains

And see bodies lying there

And see the black smoke in the air

And see those flowers bloomin'

And see those petals dead and droopin'

from the first lines of the poem I thought it was gonna be very optomistic. It was like, look again and things change to the better and are even more beautiful . Then I noticed it changed. It was more -- look now the good has turned to bad. But both instances are true. Things can turn better and things can turn to worst. Life is unpredictable. You never know what it can throw at you.
