I want to find the distance
between procrastination and persistence;
How wide is the growing pit
that long ago, I fell in.
-
As wide, perhaps, as an ocean?
as wide, by chance, as creation?
this dark place I fell in
love with.
-
The place from which outpours
my worst and greatest works,
the place in which I hide
my face behind closed doors.
-
The place whose craggy walls
crust with salt and waterfalls
carry down jubilant reproach
to plaster my hair against my scalp.
-
The taste is like disease
as I smile up to see
the widening top open, revealing
at the bottom, wet, laughing, me.

- Though I can't relate all too much, I find this a very interesting poem. I love the imagery in your second to last line. Beautiful to say the least. 5/5 of course.
