A quick jab
A single shot
Is all it needs
To rain blood
From an eternal bullet wound
Pain drives into the heart
Pain that never goes away
It will always be there
No matter how much it hurts
Cry as much as you want
Dig at it until it bleeds
It still will stand
Let the blood run
Bleed until it is gone
One day it will stop
The rubies will stop flowing
The pain will leave the heart
Staring white-eyed into the void
The void of darkness
Only then will the bleeding stop
Only then might the wound heal
But not until you let the blood run

The metaphor of "staring white-eyed" once your blood has run out was quite a concept.

If this wasn't such cliched 'emo poetry', I'd probobly like it. But unfortunately, I've seen most of this before - rubies as a metaphor for blood, referances to eternal pain, etc...

I really can't give this any more than three stars.
